I’ve heard Chris say “just missed” more in these first 2 innings than I heard him say all of last year.
 
Cate gets out of the bottom of the 2nd with no runs off him. So far 3 walks, 2 strikeouts, 49 pitches for him.
 
Baserunning hasn't been a strong suit recently... sounds like that could be a good improvement this season. Exemplary running on the parts of Toppa and Woodworth produced that run. Now Susi up with guys on the corners.
 
1-1 after the top of the 3rd. Guess we should thank SLU for the gift run to the Huskies.
 
Hate to see us strand runners like that, especially Woodworth 90 feet away.
 
Chris Jones has been apologizing for music in the background of the broadcast. I'm not hearing it on the radio broadcast, maybe it is showing up on the internet stream.

Cate gets out of another jam in the bottom of the 3rd. He is up to 72 pitches. Maybe a couple more innings for him at this rate.
 
Finally, an easy 1-2-3 inning for Cate in the bottom of the 4th. 89 pitches so far.
 
Start of the bottom of the 5th, 1-1 tie, Colby Dunlop warming up in the bullpen.
 
SLU gets a 2 out hit to drive in a run in the bottom of the 5th. Figure this is the last batter for Cate.
