UConn: Sat @ 1pm on ABC

Handful of tickets left.... And I believe Monday's game is sold out?

In the other game in Storrs, I’d like to see South Dakota State beat Oklahoma State. Frankly don’t know a dang thing about either team, but I would pull for the mid-major every time against a run of the mill Power 4!

UCONN is a 37 point favorite according to Massey's opening line.
Not sure I’d give that many. They play 10 kids at least 13 minutes a game. What they lack in size, they probably make up in quickness. I’m glad we have Aubrey back, because we might be playing small ball.

Interesting that ABC will be airing it....bigtime choice
I do wonder/worry whether they might be flipping all over
and showing us games with closer scores? I think
ESPN did that....while at the same time...staying with the
UConn game in the immediate area...no leaving that game.

Then the question would be whether those of us 'away'
[Adirondack Mountains or wherever]] will keep our coverage
on the UConn game.

Do we know the time of the Monday game?

ABC started last year carrying opening round games for marquee teams. Should be no flipping.

Monday game time will not be determined until after Sat's games. Since UConn is in the early window on Saturday, it will probably be in the earlier window on Mon nite, but can't say for sure.

There might not be flipping, but ABC has scheduled USC vs. UNC Greensboro at 3PM. So, it could overlap the UCONN game. If the Huskies have a blowout that runs long, ABC could cut away for the next game.
ABC (ESPN) is notorious for scheduling games close together, causing viewers to miss the start & end of games.

They want Paige and JuJu on the TV screen. No one expects these games to be competitive.

"notorious" ?

If games finish too early and the network has to fill a bunch of time, viewers change channels. And sometimes they're gone for good. They already are dealing with a likely blowout. The networks have been scheduling sporting events for decades, which are inherently unpredictable in terms of duration. I think they know what they're doing.

If you want to see the entire game wire to wire, watch it on ESPN3.

Many women's games are over in under 2 hrs. Let's hope this one is.

I'm hoping I get to see it. They preempted the S. Carolina game. My ABC affiliate is notorious for replacing network programming with educational shows. I guess it looks better on their license renewal application, but I wonder what the network thinks.

I actually did watch Arkansas state in person this year. But they didn’t make much of an impression. I left that game thinking Arizona state was in for a long season.

Arkansas state? I remembered they subbed a lot. They aren’t very big as a team either.

If you have streaming capability, it will probably be on the ESPN app or via computer on espn.com

There's no longer ESPN3. That was dropped when you had to purchase ESPN plus.
