I usually do, just following game tracker tonight and listening to the WBC USA game instead.. Hope these base running blunders don't come back to bite us.

Bottom 5th, S. Quigley gives up soft singles to the first 2 hitters. A 1 out rbi single makes the score 8-1 UConn with runners on the corners. Quigley gets out of the inning with no more runs coming in, striking out the last batter for the 3rd out. Quigley at 88 pitches, so perhaps he will go another inning.

Top 6th, Smith and Freeberger with 2 out singles, putting 2 runners in scoring position when Freeberger advances to 2B on the throw. A 2 run RBI double for Huber makes the score 10-1 UConn. The Huskies with another successful 2 out rally attempt.

Huber with 3 hits and 2 doubles on the night.
 
We’ve looked like a top 15 team in 4 of the past 6 games. In the 2 that we did not, Hawaii pitching bailed us out and Willis choked yesterday.

Our starters are turning into a strength.
 
Top 7th, a scoreless inning for the UConn offense, 10-1 UConn. Another double play ball that inning.
 
Bottom 7th, Ellisen gets the first 2 batters out, then SDSU loads the bases. A wild pitch makes the score 10-2 UConn. A single drives in 2 more runs to make it 10-4 UConn. A strikeout ends the inning, Ellisen has thrown 50 pitches in 2 innings of work.

Wonder if Ellison still gets the midweek start based on numbers of pitches tonight?

I was wondering the same thing. Possible Ellisen could still get the start and go a short stint on Wednesday, but I would think he would have to come out of the game after pitching those 2 innings.

Bottom 8th, Will Nowak starts the inning on the mound for UConn. Kron takes over in LF.
