UConn @ Sam Houston State Bearkats (Fri. 4/26 @7:30p ET, Sat 4/27 @4:00p ET & Sun 4/28 @Noon ET)

Winkel starts the 3rd with a 1 pitch fly out. Come on guys. Pathetic.

Offense is still not producing. SHSU is known for offense, not for lock down arms.

The camera work is the worst I can ever remember. I will be sick at the end of watching this.

Bottom 3rd, two out single brings in a run for Sam Houston State. 1-0 the score, 2 outs, runners at the corners. Fly out to Woodworth ends the inning.

Lucky to only be down 1 after 3. Unfortunately, I don't know if we have the bats to overcome this deficit...

Through 5 innings, the UConn offense consists of 2 walks. Still looking for their first hit.

It’s been talked about all year....they don’t like to work the count. In softball, no one wants to walk....in hardball, it’s a good thing.

It’s in their heads now... they have to fight their way out of it. It’s in their hands (or bats).

... and this is my first post since the game began - so I’m clearly not the jinx. ;)
And this I’d the FIRST game I’ve watched, so it can’t be me! Been a busy spring...lots of travel.

Funny thing, if you take a look at the stats, only UConn player who doesn't walk much is Chris Winkel, and he is way below average. The others are in the neighborhood of at least 1 walk every 10 at bats, which is a pretty decent ratio. Also, from looking at the stats this team walks quite a bit more than last year's team. That is, except for Chris Winkel, who is walking less than last season.

Top 6th, UConn has runners on the corners with 2 out. Christian Fedko up. Still no hits for UConn.

Good info...I was just going on stuff I’ve read here. Home run!

Bottom of the 6th, Feole starts the inning at 86 pitches. You can bet the bullpen crew of Wurster, Dandeneau and Wallace are all lined up.

Bottom 6th, a no out double brings in a run for the Bearkats. 2 runners on. Feole comes out, Karl Johnson coming in. 5-2 UConn.

Johnson gives up a single that brings in a run. 5-3 UConn, no out, runners on the corners.
