UConn (Reverse) Sheep Trivia-ish Game

I'm now relieved that incorrect "Sheep" answers are being given zero points, because this bonus 2x question only has one answer, and I got it right.

This is gonna be a big turning point in everyone's game I have a feeling. Anything can happen in reverse Sheep though, so buckle up!

We have a new leader!!! Congrats, for now, @jfuchs91. And just as importantly, @Matrim55 is no longer in last place! Congrats to both.

I'll be back in a little while to try and finish off as many as I can tonight.

I didn't. I chose notre dame

Yeah, I originally thought wrong answers in "Sheep" wouldn't be penalized, but the Trivia Master has decided otherwise.

In fact, for the Adidas question, I cheekily went with Maryland despite knowing the answer was wrong, hoping that other people would pick Maryland as a wrong answer. It didn't pan out either way.

For "Reverse Sheep", wrong answers are definitely penalized.

The intrigue in "Reverse Sheep" will be: did people pick the obvious answer, assuming that nobody else would pick the obvious answer to avoid matching?

And if everyone else thinks that way, it's better to pick the more obscure answer. But if everyone thinks that way, then the obvious answer is better.

It's an endless loop.

I didn't even think of that strategy until after the fact. In retrospect, Kemba may have been a good choice for the 2011 team member.

I think it depends on the number of possible choices.

If the number of possible choices is low, it's probably better to go with the cheeky/obvious answer since there's a good chance people will match your less-obvious answer anyway.

If the number of possible choices is high, it's probably better to go with an obscure answer. In this scenario, there's a higher probability of someone else thinking cheekily and matching your obvious answer than of someone else matching your obscure answer.

The psychology for "Reverse Sheep" is a lot more complex than for "Sheep". This should be interesting.

Actually, the "Sheep" psychology is pretty well understood, and the phenomenon even has a name: the Keynesian Beauty Contest.

This is what I was thinking. I hope I chose correctly.

I was reviewing for mistakes and realized that I incorrectly gave @RayIsTheGOAT and @breezy a point each when they should've had zero for their answers. Sorry guys, but I giveth and I taketh away. Good luck in the second half everyone!!!

Our revised standings heading into the back half of the game. Let's see what happens with Reverse Sheep.

Question #14:

Name a videogame that the UConn brand appeared in.

This was a weird one with lots of varied answers so it should be interesting.

I have this game but didn't choose it. That probably means 10 others chose the same one.

I'm ashamed of myself.
I'm also ashamed of myself, but just slightly less so.

Anyone who picked a basketball movie other than "The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh" should be embarrassed. Top 5 greatest movie of any genre, 2nd greatest sports movie ever and the best basketball movie ever.

NCAA Hoops Madness (+5) : mauconnfan (the EA games were all called "March Madness")

I am open to some arguments for and against if anyone wants to throw the challenge flag. Not a big sports gamer myself. So I'm trying to take some of these at their word. Used to play a ton of the College Hoops 2K series back in the day, but wasn't much for football games.

Hey Mano, I love this game. We could do this about almost everything, but the analyzing of data must suck. I suggest google forms possibly. It would be a little easier to analyze. Just a thought.
