Bill - if that is a serious lament about the silence coming from Uconn on recruiting information, it is by NCAA rule - the school is by rule not allowed to talk about any potential recruit or target, and they are required by rule to protect any recruit from publicity (including allowing reporters access) while they are on a visit (official or otherwise) to the school or while they are visiting a HS or AAU event during a viewing or contact period. Some schools get a little cute about this rule by posting information about 'a big visit' or a 'big recruiting trip' but never with names or it would be an NCAA violation - Uconn does not do that though the horde sometimes discovers specific destinations of recruiting trips or information about recruits visiting campus.
All of the information coming out about recruiting and recruits is sourced from the other end, the recruits, the coaches, the families, the schools, family friends, AAU or ratings service staff, or the local media. The only time Uconn releases information about a recruit is after they have the signed LOI in hand.
Heck Geno got a secondary violation for being put on the phone with a little league pitcher to congratulate her.
