Because of the way BPI measures margin, UConn can look very bad right now. Close wins in just about every game they won. Huge blowouts in just about every loss.

The Arkansas game in particular and their subsequent blowout at the hands of Houston is going to hurt us. MSU was a 20 pointer. And all of our wins have been down to the wire pretty much against fairly low teams.

Do we really think that's a good measurement of the team so far? And is this team going to grow at a faster pace than other teams throughout the year? KenPom has us in the 80s, RPI in the 70s. BPI will normalize later I'm sure. This team should win 20 games at least or it will have a new coach soon.

And what exactly am I hedging against? I've never made any public declaration as to how I think this season plays out. Besides that, Ollie can win more than 16 games (and make it 15.5 or 16.5 if you actually want action on it you fake gambling gimmick power) and still deserve to be fired.

I also highly doubt CCSU goes 7-11 or 8-10 in NEC play. They are looking like a pretty strong bottom feeder conference team. These projections are stupid.

You didn't answer my question. Your previous post indicated that you believe there hasn't been a downward trend. What exactly are you "confident that KO will turn around" then? What is the "it"?

I'm counting between 22-23 wins. That Memphis road game is a toss-up. My pre-season projection was 23-24. I think our upside is two more wins. Downside about 3 more losses.
