UConn Pro-Day - March 27th

We had a guy with 4.3x speed and all he ran were crossing routes?

Exactly. For those of us who sincerely weren't tooting his horn without good reason -- it was a very long and frustrating couple of seasons. He gets a tryout, he won't look back. Couldn't be happier for this kid.

Number of Pro team representatives appears to be significantly down from previous years:

I predicted that earlier in this thread. Just not that many legit prospects in this group. I think that influenced Edsall's decision to hold back the media.

Fuller: Buss stands out at UConn pro day

>>Kyle Buss ran the 40-yard dash in 4.49 seconds at UConn’s pro day according to a source. With the event being closed to the media, his other results were not available but the source indicated that the scouts that were there came away impressed by Buss.<<

>>Buss was one of seven former Huskies to work out for four Canadian Football League teams as well as the New England Patriots and New York Giants, a source confirmed to Hearst Connecticut Media. With no UConn players currently having draftable grades and so many other pro days being held on Wednesday, including ones at Maryland and North Carolina State, it was a drastic change from past years when at least 20 NFL teams would have representatives at UConn’s pro day.>>

>>Quarterback David Pindell, who led all Football Bowl Subdivision quarterbacks with 1,139 rushing yards last season, ran a 4.54 in the 40 according to David Schuman, CEO of NUCsports.com. Schuman also reported that Pindell had a mark of 10 feet in the broad jump and 6.80 time in the 3-cone drill.<<

Did you see our attempts to throw down field? Lets just say our QB needed a long arm target to help out.
