Maryland smacked the ever-loving crap out of us last year, Maryland who finished 4-8, and we had a good offense and solid defense in 2024...you think we would survive an onslaught with OSU with our weaker defense?!!? Put down the glue and Sharpie marker, we don't need to suffer anymore blowouts.

We might not have beaten The Ohio State Buckeyes, but I think it wouldn't be a blowout. Yes, Maryland blew us out last year, yet I bet if we played them this year, it would be an amazing game.

That said, I'm not doing any revised history on if we could win a game against X. Knowing AD David Benedict he will get teams to schedule us.

Duke can be the measuring stick. Early season Huskies lost to Delaware and Syracuse. Team of the last month win each game handily.

Duke is more than a few steps up from Syracuse and Delaware. Hopefully we can step up as well.

I wouldn’t lump those two in together. When Cuse had Angeli…they were a good p4 school. I think they were close to Duke’s level.

I agree that the teams may have been close to the same level on offense (even though I think Duke is slightly better), but in my opinion Duke has a better defense than Syracuse and a better coaching staff.

True…I guess my point was that early season Cuse and Deleware were not at the same level..and that Cuse was closer to Duke than they were to Deleware.

Thank god we don't have that game. We would not score against that OSU Defense.

I'm happy to play lesser/on level teams as us, where we can actually win. Its a bad look for our football program to get blown out by schools like Maryland last season.
