Nelson, that you?So basically you're agreeing with me that this is an AAC-level decision. Stuff can get done if people want it to get done. Evidently the powers that be don't want this to get done.

You win the Championship your League needs to make an exception. Small minded twits. The contract was signed prior to UConn joining the Big East so did not include UConn (compared to the Big 12 Challenge which expired and was renewed after UConn rejoined)
The B10 does not care if we’re in this.
Been told the Big 10 is the issue here.
Took the words off of my fingers. Amend the contract and remove DePaul because…… well, they suck. Add UConn. Not difficultBig deal. They can amend a contract. This is an AAC-level decision.
The "best" conference fraidy-scared? That's unpossible!Been told the Big 10 is the issue here.
Why shouldn't they want to boost their conference's OOC strength of schedule? If they win against us, it could buoy the entire conference and get them an extra bid (and money). Small-minded decision.Been told the Big 10 is the issue here.
While this is possible, then just put UConn in over DePaul lamo. They have like 5 fans, no one would care…It's unclear which side doesn't want to expand it. Could be b1g. Maybe the conference commissioners agreed to expand and then the b1g schools who weren't planning to be in it complained their schedules were already full.
For all we know it could have been us that decided against it. They might have matched us up against a lower tier school and we told them nah, we’re good, we’re playing UNC at MSG that weekend. So basically you're agreeing with me that this is an AAC-level decision. Welcome to the league with one of the worse commissioners in all of sports. You win the Championship your League needs to make an exception. Small minded twits.
Like we are going to go somewhere.lol we're the ones they need to keep happy, not the other way around
Other downside is that St. John's and Michigan are both going to suckThat St. John's-Michigan matchup is a great pairing. MSG + Newly revived interest in SJU basketball + thousands of UM alums in NYC will make for a great atmosphere. Only downside is that it's a Monday, but what are ya gonna do
The refs would clobber us, Hurley would get T’d up twice, and we’d lose by 2 in every game. The Big East can go………….As I've said in the past, we would have been the feature presentation.
I’m very close to NYC and have some Michigander friends and coworkers. Might take that trip myself if it’s not too pricey lolThat St. John's-Michigan matchup is a great pairing. Workshop this one. Lets get a 2.0 version that's funny or biting.they don't put projected last place teams in these events guys, sorry to break it to you.
but tbh the big east should be thankful any power conference school even considered playing their church league teams.
Still waiting for that STFU emoji.......The refs would clobber us, Hurley would get T’d up twice, and we’d lose by 2 in every game. The Big East can go………….
