If UConn keeps a 10 run lead after 7 innings, we will see if the 10 run Mercy Rule is in effect for games at Northeastern. Chris Jones mentioned this as well.
 
Top 7th, with 1 out Wachter draws a walk, Menzel follows with a single, and Cancel draws a walk to load the bases with 1 out, A run scores on a sac fly for the 2nd out by Jemison, 16-5 UConn.

Rispoli draws a 2 out walk to load the bases again, Polemeni drives in 2 runs with a single that puts runners on the corners. 18-5 UConn.

Righi follows with a 3 run homer, 21-5 UConn.

I was just commenting on the poster comparing last year’s Northeastern team to this year’s team. UConn baseball is having a down year. The good news is the Big East is very bad this year so winning the Big East tournament and getting the automatic bid is still on the table.

Still tinkering with lineup. Rispoli way down, Polemeni up, Righi in. Some teams make Penders job easier by separating themselves earlier this one making him earn his money. But there is a spark there and finding it out now as we start to head into conference play would be outstanding.

Any update from Jonesy on Connor Lane?

Chris Jones has mentioned Connor Lane at times during his game broadcasts, I believe he is having eye problems due to some incident that happened. I don't know now if Lane will miss the rest of the season due to this problem. It is too bad as I was getting to like him quite a bit during last season with UConn.
