Questionable decision for the leadoff hitter to swing on 3-0 last half. I’ll take it
 
After 4 innings, Cate's log is 1 run allowed, 2 hits, 5 strikeouts. Also 54 pitches, so he is in good shape there.

Rough inning for the rookie broadcaster but overall has been good. He’s given good insight. He’s head and shoulders better than the guys that called the game with Chris last year.

He was completely lost. It was like listening to John Sterling. "Fly ball to center field, left fielder is under it. He makes the catch." Susi was up. He's saying it's Feldstein. He didn't know there was a balk. Rough half inning.

I'm a Yankee fan, and I can't stand John Sterling. Horrible play by play guy, and his opinions aren't much better.
 
Bottom 5th, Cate walks a guy, then picks him off. Also gets another strikeout. 4-1 going to the top of the 6th.

And my wife hates Sterling more than I do. She can really give a litany of his broadcast sins.

How about Ralph Kiner who used to do the Mets games. Talk about rough.
 
Winkel bunts, Fedko gets to 3rd on a fielder's choice. Everyone is safe. Winkle swipes second. No one out.

Kiner had a certain charm to him, so you could get through his mistakes. Sterling has no charm whatsoever that I can discern.

New pitcher for UNF, Matt Vaka. Hits Woodworth with his first pitch.
 
SidearmStats now says Tim Cate has thrown 23 pitches through 6 innings. Something tells me that is wrong, considering I posted earlier that he had 54 through 4 innings.
