UConn MHOC 2022-2023 Schedule

So all of the games after Jan 1 will be played on campus for this year, but next year they move to a basketball like model....it'll be interesting to see how they handle splitting the schedule for 23/24.

It's very obvious that attendance at XL waned over the last few years but between COVID fears and the program doing almost no outreach/marketing/engagement last year, it's hard to know what the real demand at XL would even be right now.
Yeah especially since they can't even get this year worked out ...;)

Saturday, January 7, 2023 (Men’s Doubleheader):
  • Northeastern vs. UConn at 2:30 p.m.
  • UMass vs. Boston College at 6:00 p.m.
Tickets for the January 7 doubleheader are on sale starting September 22.

Ugh, it's a shame that Men's Basketball's biggest Gampel game (Creighton) is at noon that day. Obviously the school has little to no control over either game's scheduling, but as someone who would like to do both, having to pick one stinks. Silver lining is I did snag Winter Classic tickets, but of course would still rather see UConn (not really a Bruins fan).

Maybe they open the new arena on campus for a viewing party if they receive the CO in time ;)

A schedule has been posted on the UConn athletics website. It currently adds up to 31 games, go it would seem to still be incomplete, which is probably why it has not been released as a story on the website yet.

It appears that the “official schedule” needs to be updated. It’s missing three games: Sat. Nov. 26 vs Cornell @ MSG (should be officially announced any day); Fri. Feb. 10 @ New Hampshire; and Sat. Feb. 11 @ New Hampshire. Also, there are two home games that are inconsistent with the Hockey East Composite Schedule: Fri. Dec. 2 vs Merrimack (Hockey East and Merrimack schedules show this game as Sat. Dec. 3); and Sat. Mar. 4 vs BC (Hockey East and BC schedules show this game as Fri. Mar. 3).

UConn men's hockey schedule seems to have been updated on the UConn Athletics website. Only game that is now missing is the Nov. 26 Cornell game at MSG. Without the Cornell game, schedule adds up to 33 regular season games.

UConn @ BC is now the Eagle’s Senior Night

-> By the numbers:

0 — UConn does not have to get on a plane for a single game this season.

2 — Only two of the Huskies’ contests will even come outside New England — the Frozen Apple and the road trip to LIU.

242 — UConn will get its longest journey out of the way in the first weekend when it travels 242 miles to Burlington, Vermont to take on UVM.

12 and 5 — Assuming all goes according to plan, the Huskies will play 12 games at the XL Center and five at Toscano Family Ice Forum. The final five home games of the regular season will all be in Storrs.

3 — UConn will play four Hockey East opponents three times — BC, BU, Northeastern and UNH. <-

My firefox went straight to the site.
The problem is that there are no games listed to select from… BC is on 10/27 @ XL

the Ticket office said the rest of the XL games were being "loaded" today and would be available later today

What happened to the Harvard game? Very disappointed if it was canceled. One of my best partying buddies at UConns kid played at Harvard 2018-2020.

I don’t remember Harvard ever being on tap for this year?

They were penciled in for 1/2/23 @ Harvard. I'm guessing between the Cornell game and Frozen Fenway getting firmed up it probably got pushed off the schedule. Too bad Harvard is a top ECAC team this season

Any chance they can make the 11/4/22 game @ 4:05???

I know Maine has to bus in on FRI. Heck, pay for them to stay in HFD on thrus night.

UConn football vs UMass is @ 7:05 that same night.

I’m hockey all the way, but would like to go to both.

Please, no. Keep the hockey game at 7:05. I love football, but hockey plays second (third, fourth) fiddle all too often.
