5D chess by Danny. We have the Johnnie’s right where we want them.Ben Gordon will use his final year of college eligibility to play PG in this game.
Yeah, could get ugly.I see my doctor tomorrow, but I think I'm probably out as well.
Upon further reflection, while no one is playing quality defense I am quite certain the players are getting fouled like crazy. And you get unlimited fouls in practice. How are these guys getting hurt in practice? I know no one is playing defense.
I mean, you'd have to think he could see over whomever was defending him+1 Singare playing the point
That's a good question, I would say Ross if it comes to that. He's been playing better, at least defensively. It will be trial by fire for him. Not a great scenario playing St John's.
So five men in the paint and let SJU shoot the ball, lol.
I mean, Taliek will be at the game.If only we had a guy with Big East point guard experience.... hmmm maybe Hurley is working on a special waiver for a fifth year.
Aren't knee problems what scuttled his brother too?Based on what I understand Diarra has tendinitis of the knee. That is something you can play through. He had 6 days to rest it, if not ready tomorrow when will he be?
Let’s see what happens - would be hysterical if he’s messing with Pitino. What is a minutes restriction - 39 or under?
My reaction exactly.Your title suggested the Johnnies injury woes not ours!!
I am ready coach! How the heck would they play without Diarra, Mahaney and Nowell?
Interesting that our program is basically Fort Knox when it comes to information but this St. John’s fan has been around the program for two days….
And mine.My reaction exactly.

I think Hurley even called them soft. The intensity was good versus Marquette but the team does get routinely out reboundedThey seem to think our guys are soft. I disagree. I think they're finesse. But mentally they've shown they're going to fight until that horn blows. They're very confident. In the words of the great poet Adama Sanogo, "They thought they had a chance to win. They did not". Go Huskies!
Only thing that cures tendinitis is rest. Or just deal with the pain.I don't think Hass had an injury. The announcers last game mentioned he was dealing with tendonitis in the knee. That is more likely due to overuse than injury and is something he probably will have to play through until the season ends
I think Hurley had other motives for saying that when he did. Our rebounding issue wasn't a toughness thing in my opinion. Rebounding is a skill. It takes timing, positional awareness, and good hands. All three of which some of our guys struggle with(Samson, solo). Guys like Hass, Reed, Karaban, Stewie and Ross are actually pretty good rebounders for their position. Whenever Samson is your starting big rebounding will be off and on. He just doesn't possess the skills to be a proficient rebounder. But I wouldn't call him soft.I think Hurley even called them soft. The intensity was good versus Marquette but the team does get routinely out rebounded
similar to what his brother retired from basketball with, righ?Based on what I understand Diarra has tendinitis of the knee. That is something you can play through. He had 6 days to rest it, if not ready tomorrow when will he be?

I hear Reed is healthy. Everyone else is a game-time-decision.
