Does anyone know what happened to Byron Jones? Did he get hurt? I haven't really found any information on why he hasn't played this year.

He was hurt all year. I believe it was an injury he sustained the previous season and his recovery was slower than expected!

Boyle does have his work cut out for him. Wilson has the back up job locked up. So Tim has to show out at camp (friend of Rodgers or not) to be the third guy.

Dan O made quite a decent pro career being a backup. Nothing wrong with getting paid to be on the bench ready to go. I think he at least gets the practice squad though
