Interesting... He did have a tryout w/ the Jets in 2018 so its no so far off the ranch (but also in consideration or the video release date):

89 games over 9 years. He missed 16 games. He was oft injured missing 47 games. Could work in his favor as that lessened the wear and tear. But it will be tough for a team to depend on him as he spent a lot of time on the sideline with injury.

Or it's an Apil Fool's joke.

Quite frankly the Giants could put him at right tackle and be better off. His broken leg when trying to block well downfield a number of seasons ago was such bad luck.

He also hurt himself weight lifting and that cost him another season. He moves really well for a guy that is 6-5, 319 but he can't stay on the field.

At some point Sherm has to be the considered as having the most impressive UConn/NFL career, no? (Dan O excluded)
Noting a 10 year NFL career and Pro Bowl appearance and a 13 year NFL career are each impressive, Nick "The Trashman" Giaquinto may reasonably raise his hand as one of UConn's Super Bowl game participants (XVI and XVII) and Super Bowl XVII winner with Theismann, Riggins, and the Hogs. Similarly, Brian Kozlowski's 14 year career and Super Bowl XXXIII appearance deserve reasonable respect. Without giving a hoot about the Chiefs, ideally the Shermanator is part of a Super Bowl championship team.

Texans Release TE Ryan Griffin

>>After selecting San Diego State tight end Kahale Warring in the third round and adding free agent Darren Fells this offseason, the Texans had little reason to keep Griffin. By releasing him, the Texans have brought an early end to the three-year, $9MM extension ($3.22MM guaranteed) he inked back in 2017.<<

Would love if he found his way onto the Patriots always felt his athleticism was underutilized in Houston.

This was strickly a financial move by the Texans that was likley planned before Ryan happned to bonehead the bar window after a few too many Natty Lights. There have been players who have done a lot worse just for the third for forth time in the last few years alone and who had been kept ot signed immediately after by another team.

We'll, considering his public display was after the Texans drafted a TE, I'd say Texans already had moved on from Ryan.

coached by UCONN coach John Dunn … hmmm
Is this serious? They're times did not overlap. I think the Jets need a TE, and he's a decent one available as they go into camp. Perhaps Dunn checked in with Randy for a character reference but if they thought there was a better more productive option the would have gone that rout.

Was really hoping the Pats picked him up. With his speed, you just knew Brady would exploit some matchups. Felt the Texans under utilized him.

Just the way I think the world works: Dunn would pick up the phone & say "hey … what do you think". Griffin is a talent and should be in the NFL; if he can keep his hands away from glass windows. You are a risk if you do that: "don't do stupid things"
