As you may know Nick Williams was picked up by the Atlanta Falcons this spring. He'll have lots of competition at WR but that's the position (slot) he's been brought in for. It's also assumed that if Devon Hester gets injured Nick could also be used as a return man on special teams. Kyle Shanahan is the new O Coordinator and had Nick on the Redskins. Monday's analysis of the Falcon roster contained the following comment:
"Nick Williams is worth keeping an eye on during the preseason simply because he played under Shanahan with the Redskins, and familiarity with the scheme always helps."
We're all rooting for him to make the 53.

Belichick Praises McClain

Former UConn cornerback Robert "Reggie" McClain received high praise from Belichick Friday.

The Patriots acquired McClain from Atlanta in March and signed him to a one-year deal.

"We'll see how he does in our situation, things we ask him to do," Belichick said. "He's a great kid to have around, really alert, bright, good learner, good teammate. I just think he fits in well with this team; glad we have him."
