Really hoping he turns things around and at least Clingan is there as a common UConn friend to him. Bouk has the talent, but he has made a bunch of poor life choices and needs to get his head right.

He is the headliner on the team! I will be wishing him well and really hope he makes better decisions.

Looks like he will be playing with his former prep school teammate, Ish Massoud, with the G-League team. Have to hope the familiar face helps him get things turned around for the positive.

This thread is headed in a bad direction. The guy played for the team we cheer for and was a good, exciting player at UConn. We all know he has had a number of self inflicted gaffes. Isn't it better to wish him well then speculate on the possibility of his not saving enough money after he's done playing?
One would think so.

Hawk can't buy a shot. 0/6 from the field. Just missed a wide open three from the corner at the end of the 3Q.

I’m rooting for Bouk. I have no idea what his mental state is like now, but since all his public poor choices happened years ago and we haven’t heard much from him until now, maybe he HAS taken time to get his head right. I’m not judging until I know otherwise.

2 years is definitely plenty of time to turn around his bad decision-making. Assuming he's done the work to get his head right, the big question is if anyone in the league is willing to take the risk on an low-floor, high-ceiling 25-year-old guard. If he was still 19, I'd believe it. Right now he's got an uphill battle.

I've said it before but once Clingan gets his conditioning right, he is going to be a real problem. Averaging 5 points (62.5% FG), 6 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks in just 12 and a half minutes per game. He has a PER of 21.6, which is #1 for all rookies. Improved conditioning should help the fouling problem (2.6 fouls per game in low minutes)

Hawkins has cooled off in the last couple of games but is averaging 16 PPG and 5 RPG shooting 44.3% FG and 40.6% 3P. If he can keep up his consistency (was a big issue for him last year), he will have 20+ minutes every game

Castle has been slow so far. 5 PPG, 3.5 APG but shooting 28% FG and is 0-8 on threes. It'll click for him eventually but hoped to see a stronger start

Anyone as big as Clingan will have a battle with conditioning but for him it’s about playing time. He isn’t playing 12 minutes per game because of his conditioning, it’s because of Deandre ayton

Have you watched the games? Conditioning is a huge factor here. The NBA game is FAST and right now, DC isn't keeping up for extended minutes. It's what's causing his fouls, just like it did in Storrs.

DC last night, 11 minutes, 7 points, 6 boards, a block and a steal, +9 (second on team), 4 fouls.

Portland won versus Clips. As he learns to play without fouling his numbers will climb.

Except From Blazers Edge

Clingan did a number of things well in his 11 minutes of action. He provided a lift on the offensive glass (six rebounds, three offensive), got a block and a steal, finished some buckets down low and even buried a badly needed 3 in the fourth quarter. Clippers backup center Kai Jones gave the rookie some troubles though. Jones is a 6-foot-11 athletic demon who makes his NBA money by flying around the floor. That’s a tough cover for a large rim protector like Clingan, especially five games into his career.

Defending without fouling is something Clingan has done very well early on for a rookie center, but Jones’ speedy activity was a large reason why Clingan picked up three first-quarter fouls. On the third whistle, Jones caught Clingan flat-footed on the 3-point line and burned by him for an and-1 dunk. Clingan handled the assignment better in the second half, and he only picked up one foul in his limited second-half minutes. Watching how Clingan handles quicker centers will be an interesting development to track throughout his career.

As @husky429 said and I have said, conditioning is his biggest issue. Leads to fouls and shorter stints on the court. It will improve, I mean look at Jokic. Ayton has also been playing RELATIVELY well. No issue with DC in the 12-15 minute range right now.
