It's a shame and actually a travesty we made him work so hard to improve his defense during his time at UConn. Everyone knows they don't value defense in the modern NBA. Lots of wasted effort that could have been better-spent working on his mid-range and point-guard skills.
You just have it all figured don't you Hurley and the rest of his staff are clueless.

That Pels team is seriously snake bit right now. Legit four of their top six just out in Murphy, Murray, Jones and McCollum. In addition they have Williamson, Hawkins and Alvarado all day-to-day. That is basically 7 of their top 9.

Wonder if Williamson or Hawkins comes back today.

I've been saying it all along. He really should have come back for another year.

Cam really got hurt at the worst possible time, both Smart and Bane hurt, if Cam was able to go through a complete training camp/preseason it wouldn't have shocked me if he was able to get some minutes

Castle vs Clingan going on now. Clingan is rebounding well but missed some bunnies. Castle is playing well overall, but still can't hit a three.

Chris Haynes must have a good networking relationship with AJ's agent to make this kind of post for him being inserted into the starting lineup

Had a good game and wound up with a nice shout out:

Castle is looking better every night. Needs a couple off seasons to brong his shot around.
Let’s hope - he’s 3-24 from 3 so far this year. That’s what will separate him from a rotation guy and a high end starter.

Not much better, but 3 of those 24 were 40+ footers. So I think 3-21 is more accurate for normal three point shots. Again not much better at all.

I think it's fair to think those numbers will come up.

I'll feel comfortable if Castle can even be a 25-30% 3-point shooter this season. Plenty of guards make that leap. If he's at 15% or something, then I'll be more concerned about long-term viability.

Right now, though, I'm not worried. He has decent and fairly consistent form. I think reps and confidence will get the job done. Spurs were the perfect program for him.
