Yep, we disagree. The Spurs are only 1 game ahead of the Blazers and they are supposed to be way better. Blazers have been balling out since Donovan's time has gone up and they're 3-1 since he was inserted in the starting lineup. He's arguably the best shot blocker in the league already but once again numbers don't do him justice. He takes away everything at the rim and has a huge impact on winning.
The Spurs are not supposed to be way better, they were projected to take a step towards possible play-in tournament, and that’s kinda where they sit right now. Plus, their 2nd and 3rd best players have missed a combined 19/30 possible games.

I wish his conditioning was better. 1 rebound away from him getting a double double and turning $25 into $700 for me.

He played 21 minutes last night simply because he doesn’t have the conditioning to play more minutes yet. Smh
My bud missed on the same leg of his parlay lol

I know Clingan has had a massive impact defensively, not sure I would agree offensively but A to D there.
Creating space and movement so your shooters get open looks is impacting the offense. They beat the TWolves twice because Rudy Gobert had so much trouble handling Clingan he couldn't disrupt as much as normal. Only 2 blocks in 2 games.

I mean, fine. But Steph has had a huge impact offensively with his driving and elite ability to find open shooters on skip passes.

You said Clingan had no offensive impact. I give examples where he does and you start talking about Castle. Are there any permanent goal posts in your world?

I said it wasn’t enormous on offense, as you said. Now you’re saying I said he had NO offensive impact. Who’s moving goalposts again?

NBA championship odds heading into season Spurs +10,000 Blazers +100,000.

Blazers have been without their leading scorer the past 3 games, their starting center the past 4 games, Shaedon Sharpe for 8 games, Robert Williams for 10 games.

Using odds is weird. Plus, when the odds get that long, it’s really not that different lol. As I said, the Spurs are about where they were projected and the Blazers are doing a bit better. Either way, its 15 games in.

The season win total odds I've seen preseason for the two teams was Spurs 34.5, Blazers 23.5.

I'm not really sure what else we're supposed to go off of.

So the Spurs are ahead of pace for their win total. That’s good. Good for the Blazers, too. Spurs are also doing it without their coach for almost 3 weeks.

Yes, I guess you take umbrage with me saying way better. Spurs are supposed to be 11 games better than the Blazers this season.

Steph had a rough start but closed the game strong... including a massive slam!

His games starting have been, overall, impressive. Has been in double figures scoring the past 8 games and is averaging 13.3 and 4.5 as a starter as the Spurs have gone 5-4. He is still working things out, but seems to get better game by game. You rarely see him rushed. His poise is probably the most impressive part of his game. If they tracked hockey assists, he would have a ton.

This draft class has been better than expected, IMO and better than the first week appeared it would be.
