DC with a very solid overall game vs the Hawks, I like that the Blazers are now incorporating DC's passing in the halfcourt sets now, doing a bit more handling/screening->passing up top now instead of just screening. Plus/minus doesn't always tell the story but it often does for DC, Blazers looked way better tonight with him on the floor. Don't know what the future holds for Chauncey but the Blazers have become a fun league pass watch.
I mean obviously he's not gonna be the next Jokic (no one is), but I like how there's some Jokic showing up in Cling Kong's game. If he can even become a clearance bin Jokic on offense, combined with his elite defense that is a stud C for years to come.

Jokic had a solid line last night- 61/11/10.
Always gives me a good laugh when people invoke Jokic for the passing big man archetype. Couldn't cite someone like Sengun or Sabonis.

needs to study a ton of Zubac tape but even then I don't think DC will ever have that type of fluidity to his game offensively

Zubac also doesn’t really leave the paint and DC is already showing he can. But I agree, Zubac is a beast down in the paint offensively, not sure DC will get there.

Watched it but not sure if it was really a good game or not because he shot very poorly but Stephon had a line 15/9/15 with 1 TO. Second near triple double in the last few weeks. Spurs did win, so I guess that's kind of good (

Hawkins back out with a hurt back.

It goes to show the difference in how Euros are developed and Americans.

Donovan has been trying to be a 3 point shooter since HS and still is now that he’s in the NBA. Zubac hasn’t cared to even look at a 3 point line ever and even as a rookie was very good offensively with simple hook shots.

Zubac just isn’t the defender nor has the size Donovan has.

Steph has a long offseason ahead of him but I don’t think the Spurs could’ve handled his development any better this season.

It seems like during this last part of the season there’s an emphasis on him playmaking for his teammates and finding guys.

Zubac is actually a borderline elite paint defender. His defensive metrics are great.

I’m not surprised the metrics love him. Position wise he’s great. He just doesn’t have the length to be an elite rim protector when it matters imo.

wow, Andre Drummond is 2nd in career rebounds among active NBA players. Only behind LeBron.

Your description of the difference in how Europeans and Americans are developed is completely backwards so I don’t think these guys support that argument at all.

Zubac has been in the league 9 seasons.

Is your claim that Euro centers don't shoot threes?

My claim is that Euro centers don’t skip steps. They aren’t shooting 3s unless they have a proficient post game first.

Zubac has shown a proficient post game and touch around the rim since his first summer league game. Clingan doesn’t have that yet but people get excited anytime he so much as attempts a 3.

It also took him 6 seasons in the NBA to average 10 points.
