UCONN in the NBA - January '24

Announcers (Im watching the Pelicans feed) have mentioned that they were teammates at UConn a few times already.

They're both getting real 1st half minutes tonight.

Hawk just buried a 3. 1-1 so far.

Then Andre hit a 3 !!!

2-2 for our guys !!!!!!!!!

Our guys are out for the half
Milwaukee is up 12, only because they're 13-26 from 3. It's a pretty even game otherwise (NO is 7-13 from 3)

Hawk got 15 mins. 3 points
AJ got 9 minutes. 3 points.
Both guys did they're jobs well. Hawk provided space for the Pels stars, but they missed a ton of bunnies.
AJ played great defense on CJ & Herb, and hit his shot. They each defended a few different guys while they were in.

Neither guy hit his shot against the other, thankfully.

Doc not playing either AJ or Beauchamp through the first half so unless there are injuries I would not be surprised if the DNPs start racking up

Well it was fun for AJ while it lasted. I don't know what was going on behind the scenes but Adrian Griffin at least recognized that he needed to play the younger wings since the Bucks lack athleticism on the wings. Now both AJ and Beauchamp are getting "Thybulled" by Doc.

He was listed as out with a wrist injury last night. Not sure how long term it is, but being that we haven't heard anything, i would guess it's just short term.
