UConn in the NBA Jan 2026

So him being in the post would have provided more space for Avdija to work? That makes sense.

Also the second picture you provided is simply fine spacing lol. You’re a genuine insane person.
Yes.

Notice how much deeper in the paint guys can get when the center isn’t able to cut them off at the FT line?

At this point, this stuff isn’t even for you. It’s to educate others on the board who are open to actually knowing what they’re watching.

lol this guy is using a play Deni rejected screen which I talked about as one of the screenshots.

You can actually see the play here at the :15 mark and see it had nothing to do with Clingan being a “floor spacer”.

The other didn’t have a big on the court which is why Amen was guarding Clingan.

It’s okay if you just don’t know what you’re watching.

Legitimately can’t tell if you’re just stupid or hard headed. Houston’s ENTIRE lineup outside of Reed is big.

On top of that, even if Houston didn’t have two 6’11+ players in the game (They did, not big enough for you though) shouldn’t Clingan be setting up shop in the paint? No, because that’s not what Portland wants and it opens up driving lanes if he is a threat on the perimeter.

I’m sure Deni really hated the opportunities he got at the rim to put up 41 vs one of the best defenses in the league. DC really hung him out to dry there.

Just stop man, you’re getting lapped. Are you a masochist?

It takes two minutes to watch the highlight posted and see he scored twice off a DC pick and pop/spot up. Both times he had to take on the big anyways to get to the rim.

Believe it or not, Deni got a lot of opportunities when DC was simply in the dunker spot. I know it’s hard to believe someone can space the floor without shooting.

I’m not sure why you’re lying like this when the film is right there for everyone to see. DC opening up driving lanes by trying to be a shooter is just a boneyard myth.

This convo is over. But before then two more plays of DC in the dunker spot. One ending in an alley lmao

Breaking news, guy has to take on big at rim. You’re arguments make 0 sense.

End it here, we can agree on this.

DC will continue to shoot 3s because it has been working well. ✅

DC is not this back to the basket monster you consider him to be. ✅

Portland has won 6/7, which has coincided with DC’s improved shooting. ✅

Portland won’t suddenly decide to post up DC more because, well, look around the league. Which of the best teams do that?

Beautiful.

I thought the purpose of him stretching the floor was so the big could… nvm.

We all love your reaction pics, they’re great, keep using them.

If you think a big will just not be at the rim, you must have less ball knowledge than I even thought. Players shrink off the shooters to cut off the rim. DC isn’t Kyle Korver, he obviously doesn’t hae the gravity where a defender needs to be plastered to him. Stretching the floor just so obviously opens up the offense for everyone involved. The fact you can’t understand this simple concept boggles my mind. I have never used the ignore feature on here, but you are a prime candidate my man.

Interesting...

Grizzlies entertaining Ja Morant trade offers, sources say

He's only mentioned in passing in the article ("Memphis is considering multiple paths forward amid the emergence of several promising young players such as Cedric Coward, Zach Edey, Jaylen Wells and Cam Spencer"), but I'm imagining that Cam's emergence has significantly contributed to this new willingess to potentially trade Ja.
Yup. Between Cam, along with Pippen & Jerome returning soon, they have depth at the point and are better off without Ja.

It's just... I can't find a single trade that makes sense. The only hope is that somebody stupid (Sacramento?) bails them out.

Not a student of NBA cap space but I gotta believe Memphis can free up some space and/or gain draft capital for the future if they were to move forward.

They should trade Ja in a multi-team deal with Houston, San Antonio, Portland, and whichever team has the rights to the pick Karaban is projected at for said pick, Newton, Castle, and Clingan. Instant championship.

I don’t know what Ja’s market even is right now. He’s a 6’2 point guard known primarily for scoring due to his insane athleticism. But he’s always injured and his freak athleticism is declining rapidly, leading to the worst season of his career so far

Memphis wants to ship him out so they can rebuild around a group of guys where half of them are late 1st to second round picks. He’s been suspended for conduct detrimental to the team. He’s been in the news several times for issues ranging from common sense maturity to legal problems. Oh and he has a $40M contract

Who would take him??

Word is that Miami, Minnesota and Sacramento are all interested.

I doubt Memphis will get anything significant back, besides fewer off-court headaches and shorter, more palatable contracts.

Tough loss for Cam and the Grizz. Blew a 21 point lead to the SGA-less Thunder. Cam had a late 3 rattle out with 1:30 to go that probably would have swung it.

He shot 2-8 for 7 points but ended up with a nice line of 11 assists and 0 turnovers - however, his athletic limitations shone through a bit in the 4th, I think. When OKC turned up the intensity, he couldn’t really do much (the late 3 he missed was off an inbounds pass with 3 on the shot clock).

Grizz were down by 1 with the ball (out of timeouts) and gave it to Cedric Coward and he couldn’t even get a shot off. Picked up his dribble and Cam couldn’t shed his man to get open.

Interesting half for Clingan (0-8-5).

He’s 0-3 (two were tip attempts). Houston is swarming the perimeter to take advantage of the lack of PG, and Clingan has been the pressure valve around the free throw line a lot - and he’s been distributing or sometimes even been putting it on the floor and driving and dishing. Actually could have even more assists than he does (a couple guys fouled shooting layups off his passes or getting blocked at the rim). Took 1 three and missed it. His paint protection has looked a little better - two steals and a block and a few good contests.

Clingan 8-15-6 with two FTs to seal a 6-point win. Second half he wasn’t the pressure outlet nearly as much - but he could have pushed 10 assists/trip dub turf with a little better finishing off his passes.

Shot 3-9 (0-4 from 3). Stephen Adams was the match up and he was challenging him at the line. His fourth three he was open but it was a low pass around the ankles and he shot it a little off balance - missed it about 2 feet short. Needed to keep that one in the holster when the pass wasn’t there.
