league needs to do a better job of promoting SGA with all of the noise around 3pt shooting, OKC should have been on TV Christmas Day

He's awesome, my favorite guy in the league after Jokic.

Unfortunately neither SGA or Jokic are marketed.

Jordan Hawkins has been in a shooting slump since he came back from injury:

34% from the field
31% from 3
Averaging 10pts 0.6 assist 1.2 rebounds on a lousy New Orleans team.

Needs to snap out of it or his minutes will disappear once Zion and Ingram come back

We all know he can fill it up but he's never shot 40% from three for a season. He's too inconsistent a shooter when shooting is all he's known for.

Yesterday NBA -
  • Hawkins: 3 points on 1-5 FG (1-4 3P)
  • Clingan: 9 minutes, 3 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists on 1-2 FG
G League -
  • Sanogo: 20 points, 8 rebounds, 8-14 FG (2-2 3P!)
  • Newton: 0 points, 10 assists, 0-7 FG
  • Polley: 10 minutes but 0 points and 4 rebounds on 0-3

I don’t understand the logic behind playing Clingan only 9 minutes in a blowout loss. Especially when Embiid and Yabusele combined for 53 points. Maybe they’re easing him back in after the knee injury? He looked better when he was actually playing consistent minutes.

Blazers fans don't seem particularly enthused about how Chauncey is handling the lineup, to put it lightly.

Our guys have hit a lull. Hopefully Steph and DC can pick it up after the New Year. The Pelicans are an absolute disaster, so not holding out much hope for Hawk.

Hawkins needs to get it together, this is a disappointing year 2 and Brandon Boston as a 2 way guy has been better than him

I'm not sure either. He played really well as a starter so he can obviously perform with more minutes

Best case scenario they're trying to let Ayton show out to increase his trade value, worst case scenario Chauncey Billups just doesn't see what we see

I heard great things about Hawkins during the summer/preseason about how he improved his game in areas other than shooting. I dunno if his back is still giving him issues. If his back is fine, yeah, pretty disappointing so far.

Box scores list Andre Jackson starting all games for the Bucks. However he only plays 12 minutes a game. Any thoughts on what’s going on here?

He’s essentially a starter in name only. They put him out there for energy/defense and to try to set a tone to start the game, but then they go with their more experienced, offensive-oriented lineup to close out halves and games so he usually doesn’t get a second stint per half once he comes out.

But the Bucks have gotten much better since they went to him as a starter and the role is probably good for him. He gets those 12-15 minutes that he might not get if he was the 9th or 10th man off the bench.

Cam getting first quarter minutes tonight

Watching it and had that exact thing written, to the word, then I refreshed and you posted.

He’s playing well and especially with Bane and Ja out he’s got a chance to get some meaningful burn.

This is a interesting read that explains Jackson's value to the Bucks.

Booooo. Hopefully somebody picks him up and gives him a shot.

Surprising. Averaged 15.9 PPG, 6.6 APG, 5.9 RPG on 40% 3P shooting in 13 games on their G League team (not all roses - shot 39.3% FG and 3.5 turnovers a game)

Seems like he's being replaced by RayJ Dennis, who is averaging 16.4 PPG, 6.7 APG, 3.4 RPG on 46/35 shooting splits (2.7 TO). So better, but marginally

EDIT: just read the full article, "Scott Agness of Fieldhouse Files reported that this move was Newton’s preference.". Will be interesting to see if we ever hear more information about this
