Top 2nd, UConn offense loads the bases with 2 out, 2 of the runners reached base on plays that were call errors, but come up with no runs. 3-0 Georgetown.

Ryan Hyde takes over at catcher, Garbowski got hurt on a defensive play in the 1st inning.

Not having any problems listening to Chris Jones doing the game today, so far the broadcast sounds fine to me.
I should have clarified. The audio was fine today, the commentary and everything surrounding it was what I find a difficult listen.

.-.
Bottom 2nd, with 1 out S. Quigley hits a batter, the runner steals 2B. After the stolen base the runner at 2B is picked off for the 2nd out. S. Quigley leaves a runner on base after a 2 out single for a scoreless inning. 3-0 Georgetown.

Top 3rd, Shpur with a leadoff walk, but he is picked off for the 1st out. UConn offense has a scoreless inning leaving a runner on base. 3-0 Georgetown.

Chris Jones has been making a point about Georgetown that I have mentioned in the past. For many seasons Georgetown was usually one of the bottom of the standing teams in Big East baseball until a couple years ago when they came up with their current head coach. Now they are one of the better teams in the conference.

Bottom 3rd, S. Quigley has a scoreless inning leaving 2 runners on base after giving up 2 singles to start the inning. 3-0 Georgetown.

Top 4th, Padilla with a leadoff walk, Studley follows with a double (it was called an error, but Chris Jones strongly disagrees with that ruling) to put 2 runners in scoring position with no outs. Dalena follows with an RBI double driving in 2 runs. 3-2 Georgetown.

With 2 runners on base after a single by Minick, Shpur with a no out RBI single to tie the game at 3.

Tammaro is hit by a pitch to load the bases with no out. Broadhurst follows with a no out RBI single driving in a run to give UConn a 4-3 lead.

3 games with some timely hitting. You won 2 of em already and have chance at another. Plus the errors

Play better from behind ;)

Chris Jones has been noting all the weekend that the Georgetown defense has a lot of problems.

Bottom 5th, S. Quigley retires the first 2 batters for 2 outs, then gives up 2 singles to put runners on the corners. Quigley comes out of the game, Finnegan takes the mound.

Finnegan gets a fly out to end the inning with no runs coming in. 7-3 UConn.

We may be seeing more of Finnegan in key situations if he keeps doing the job.

Any sense of how serious Garbo’s injury is?

He did stay in the game for a little while after the play where he had the injury, so I would think that might be a positive sign on the injury not being bad.

Chris Jones related talking to him between innings as he headed out to bullpen and Garbo told CJ he was fine. CJ said staff was being cautious.

If Minick can get going, that will give Penders more options moving forward and can help solidify 3B for next few years hopefully

I missed that, I must have been away from the computer when CJ said that.

Bottom 6th, a no out single followed by an error on Tammaro on a pop up puts 2 runners on base. After a fly out for the first out, Sullivan comes out of the game, Quinn takes the mound.

A 1 out infield single with problems from the UConn defense brings in a run, 7-4 UConn.

Another infield single loads the bases with 1 out. Quinn gets a pop out and a strikeout to end the inning with no more runs coming in. 7-4 UConn.
