Final review of MuscoVision. 2 cameras auto switching back and forth enough to drive you batty. The commentary did not synch up with the action, so that was distracting, although the guy calling the game was fair and knowledgeable. Oh, and no replays…which is why they probably have no challenges at this ball park. Overall experience 5 out of 10. Will I do it again tomorrow? Only if it rains here or I get my yard chores done real early.

RPI up to 38 — remarkable given that we’re one game over .500. All the credit in the world to Garrett Coe, who pitched 7 2/3 on two days rest from his brilliant start against K state.

Even if you remain unconvinced about this team (it took a huge amount of Georgetown errors for us to score 5 runs on 3 lousy hits) the facts are the facts — we’re a win tomorrow from moving into first in the Big East with the easier part of the schedule ahead of us, and to an RPI that, as absurd as it seems with our record, will start the conversation about us as an at large.

Ok that’s when I heard it…some 12 hours after the game. That does nobody any good knowing afterwards. If it was mentioned elsewhere, I didn’t hear it. Otherwise, I would hope they can count on 3 innings by Quinn/Aftim on a Fri night.

I was thinking the same as you. 9 outs shouldn’t be an issue with those 2.

They really should win the vast majority of the games remaining. I’d say maybe 4-5 losses here on out and one of those to NE or Cincy out of conf perhaps. Otherwise getting 2 of 3 on weekends or a sweep is realistic. If they can secure an NCAA berth can this team mold to get out of the regionals. Let’s not settle for BE dominance even in a grind it out season. CWS not Georgetown’s and Creighton’s! They gotta do what they gotta do first.
