UConn Football Fall Camp 2025

-> "It's a transition week for us," UConn coach Jim Mora said. "Part of this is training them on the way we do things whether it's meeting during game week or how we practice during a game week. We get these high school players in and they've never really been on a scout team and teach them how we run our scout teams, the intensity, the effort, the speed and the pace that we want. Still a lot of educational stuff and it gives us a jump on our first game plans. This is always an interesting week."

Mora said the Huskies will practice Wednesday through Friday and have a mock game before taking a couple of days off to rest before turning their full attention to CCSU. After this week, UConn will play on Saturday for six consecutive weeks before being off on Oct. 11.<-

Flip Chan and Murawski position then flip players to the other side. Based on -

That is right except Murawski is at LT and Casady is at RT (per the Coach's Show).
I'm kinda glad to see Murawski at LT... He's 6'7 335lbs... He needs to be outside... I love the fact that he's gotten quite a bit of work inside already at G too.. versatility...

Welp, coaches show and Storrs Central aren't in agreement.

Obviously we have to trust what the coaches see and their judgement with Murawski's mobility after his injuries. Putting him at LT is the most stressful position for his body. I'd been happier if someone else could take control of LT and leave Ben at RT or at Guard.

-> The tallest task for the UConn football program this offseason was replacing defensive players, most of whom had been with the program and played together since Mora took over as head coach and defensive coordinator in 2022. They’ve done so by both adding through the transfer portal and counting on younger players in the program to step up, but the results are nearly impossible to see in practices against a familiar offense without actual tackling.

“I’d like to be able to sit here and say, ‘Yeah, I know what they’re all about,’ but there’s so many new guys that I don’t. And games always reveal things, positive and negative things, you have to work on,” Mora said.<-

-> “It’s time for those guys to take that step from kind of some late-game action to some real action, and if they can do that, then I think we’ve got a nice group there. Because I think we’ve got some good starters and some guys that are proven, but some of those unproven guys on game day have to take a step up. And the indications are, from what we’ve seen in practice, they’re ready to do that. But they’ve got to go do it on the field against an opponent that’s not wearing the same helmet as them,” Mora said. <-

Just went back and listened to that segment again and Mora does call out the starting OL by position.

Rosa never returned to form after he got called for a penalty for somersaulting into the end zone in the season opener against N.C. State 2 years ago. I know he had a nasty hand/thumb injury last year. Let's hope we get the freshman year Rosa this season!

Joe looks very confident and comfortable. Obviously they’re not going to show bad throws, but all these clips show him making good decisions, throwing accurate balls and avoiding mistakes. Putting the ball where only his receiver can make a play. That’s all he has to do for us to have more success this year
