Top 3rd, Rispoli has a 1 out single, he is thrown out trying to steal 2B for the 2nd out. The UConn offense gets 2 batters on base with 2 out, but they are stranded. Game tied at 1.
 
Bottom 3rd, Cooke gives up a 2 out solo homer, 2-1 UCLA going to the 4th inning.

Bottom 4th, 1 out triple off of Cooke. After a strikeout, Cooke issues an intentional walk. A 2 out single drives in a run, 3-1 UCLA. Cooke leaves 2 runners on base.
 
Bottom 5th, with 2 outs Cooke hits a batter and gives up a double, an intentional walk loads the bases. A single drives in 2 runs, 5-3 UCLA.

Cooke comes out of the game, Van Emon takes the mound to look for the final out this inning.
 
How many times can Cooke be 1 strike away from getting out with a scoreless inning, just to collapse.

Van Emon walks the first batter he faces to reload the bases. 2 runs score on an infield single and a throwing error by Padilla. A single drives in another run. 8-3 UCLA, going to the next inning.
 
Top 6th, Daniels with a leadoff walk, MacArthur follows with a no out double to put 2 runners in scoring position. A sac fly by Padilla for the 1st out drives in a run as both runners advance a base, 8-4 UCLA.

Groen follows with another sac fly to drive in another run, 8-5 UCLA.
 
Bottom 6th, Van Emon has a scoreless inning after a 1 out single. 8-5 UCLA.

Top 8th, after a 1 out single by Padilla, the UConn offense has a scoreless inning that ended with a double play. 8-6 UCLA.
 
Bottom 8th, Abbadessa retires the first batter, and then comes out of the game. JT Caruso comes in to pitch, making his debut pitching for UConn.

Abbadessa only threw 8 pitches, you would think he will be available to pitch in the game tomorrow.

Caruso retires the the next 2 batters to end the inning. 8-6 UCLA.
 
Top 9th, Biller pinch hits for Garbowski, and gets a leadoff single. With 1 out, Biller steals 2B and advances to 3B on a throwing error by the catcher. It ends up being a scoreless inning for the UConn offense, UCLA wins 8-6.
