You have to know what pieces you do and don’t have going into conference play. Also, you can’t win in the playoffs with 3-5 functioning arms anyway. I like that Penders is testing guys like Galusha, even if we lose this and other games as a result.Bottom 4th, Ellisen gives up a leadoff solo homer, 5-3 UConn.
After the homer, Ellisen gives up a no out walk. Ellisen comes out of the game, Galusha takes the mound.
Galusha walks the first batter he faces, and an infield single loads the bases with no outs. With no outs, a hit by pitch brings in a run, 5-4 UConn.
Galusha comes out of the game, Shaw takes the mound.

Shaw is good. Even the walk from him was borderline; could have been a K. A pitcher, not a thrower. Wish more of our recruits were pitchers.Shaw walks the first batter he faces bringing in a run, the game tied at 5.
Shaw gets the next 3 outs including 2 strikeouts to leave the bases loaded. Game tied at 5.
Decent production on all fronts. The Campbell announcers on Flo are pleasant. Very fair, even keeled, informative.
Is there a world where our 1 and 2 are Puddy and Shaw?
