When he hints at lineup changes he usually doesn’t disappoint so based on that I would expect to see some different faces out there today. Small park and hitter friendly hopefully we can take advantage of that today and get our pitching more support…
Did Penders read this on here last night?? Lol.I was annoyed Penders put out the same 9 as Tampa… TC got picked off twice which should’ve had him out of the lineup imo and Kron’s bat doesn’t seem ready yet. I would like to see Shpur get a chance in Center and maybe Malcom as a bat as well. But, other than that they played very well in the first half of the game and terrible in the second half, need to clean that up and get these 2 wins and take the weekend.
Righty heavy lineup against a LHP makes sense. Kinda needed a change of pace in the lineup anyway
Simmons has been solid historically, especially 2022. He has been an on-base machine when good and takes deep ABs. His slow start is unfortunate. I hope he finds it.
Top 3rd, Matt Malcom with a no out solo homer for his first hit in his first plate appearance for UConn, 8-1 the score.
