BYU just playing better than UCONN at the moment. We were totally unprepared. Perhaps overlooking BYU? Sad first half to be sure. BYU with UCONN like numbers. 10 assists, 5-10 from beyond the arc, and UCONN's 2 best players completely non existent.

Having said that, not sure BYU could play much better. Great half by them. Frustrating and disappointing performance by UCONN thus far...

Looked like MoJett came down on Hamson's foot in the lane. MoJett was back in at the end of the half and looked ok.

Amazingly the lead.
The team leaders need to be fierce in the locker room, like Jen and Jamelle used to be.

That's one thing that sorta had me concerned about this bunch. A little too laid back personality wise. Almost immature.

BYU doing a nice job of curling off screens and shooting with confidence. Midrange is always the one place that you have to take advantage of against UCONN, but not many teams seem able

Bria and Stewart a combined 1-10. That's the story so far and needs to change. I'm confident it will.

Fact is BYU is making shots.
. The other fact is uconn isn't. 29 points times two is a points total we should be able to accept. But is there any chance we'll be held under 60????

Geno has complained that this group doesn't have the killer instinct of previous teams.

She may want to keep moving/walking around during half

At this point in ND's game, it was 14-0 and the game was over. And that was against a better team. Let the panic commence.

I predict ND will fall to Baylor.

The best Generals don't panic. General Geno has battled far worse.

It's a shame Geno has so little confidence in his guards off the bench that he doesn't feel he can bring one in to put pressure on BYU's shaky guards. Maybe with the score so tight he didn't want to risk it on the offensive end, though how could they shoot any worse than some of the starters.

I wouldn't say immature, they are just a very laid back group. As Geno said they don't have huge emotional swings. No excessive highs or excessive lows.

BYU played an almost perfect half.
Bria lost control of her leadership,
Stewie's shot has been a concern of mine, not enough control before the release of the ball.
Mojeff played a heck of a game so far.
Dolson couldn't get anything going yet.
KML and Mojeff are the ones that keep us in the game so far.

I expect the second half will be different.
It will one on one until we lead by 12 points.

First 5 mins really critical to how this game will be.

We will either come out and establish ourselves and throw a run at them. Or be in the fight of our lives the rest of the way.

Lots of disgruntled folks here. Let's hope the second half will get us gruntled once again.

If we were to play a half like this against ND, we would be down 20.
Hopefully, a smidgen of humility can seep into some posters' mental approach and the mojo can be preserved.
Let's GOOOOO

Hartley has to have more of an impact in the 2nd half. Can't only attempt two shots. More Concerned about Hartley then I am Stewie.

For as slow as BYU is, they sure can get back on defense. Have completely throttled transition offense.

Wouldn't like to see this game come down to the last couple of minutes. BYU is making their shots, Bria and company are not so far.

Yeah, that was the first thing I thought of with the break.

Oh please
Just went back and looked. It was definitely a charge. Plus the kid was half Stef's size and that tends to skew outcomes anyway.

Forget ND. We could easily lose today and certainly to a high scoring team like DePaul if we came out that flat.
