Hopefully pressing the Tim Cate button shatters this embarrassing streak of lousy play. Our failure in Santa Clara made winning this series a must.

The altitude will play a big part in this series. Provo is nearly 8 times higher in elevation than Storrs. If Cate, Wills and Feole can keep the ball down it should unfold in UCONN's favor.

Out of 14 games, the UConn starting pitcher has not made past 4 innings in 6 games. That is way too much and it has got to stop. The return of Tim Cate would certainly help out with this.

Will be at work for most of the game, pls keep this thread lively so I can check from time to time! :D

It looks like a better defensive lineup with Winkel moving from LF to 1B, and Gnesda at Dan Hurley. Toppa is the odd man out out of the lineup tonight, with Moriarty in LF.

WHUS sound quality for Chris Jones isn't at its best.

Prato leads off the game with a triple, and scores on a sac fly from Yahn.

BYU video live stream w/announcers on BYU Baseball Facebook page

Cates having control issues... double, steal and wild pitch brings in a run. Walked first batter of year, followed by steal and throw into CF moves man to 3rd and another passed ball brings in another run. 2-1. followed by another walk and a balk.

Tim Cate is not starting the game well. BYU lead off hitter doubles, eventually scores on a wild pitch to tie the game at 1. Another batter walks, steals second, advances on a bad throw by Susi, and scores on another wild pitch. 2-1 BYU.

He's holding Form to how all our pitchers have pitched lately.

Cate allows a two out double, but gets the other batters fairly easily in the bottom of the 2nd. 2-1 BYU, UConn at bat in the 3rd.

Feldstein needs to find the form again. He's been struggling lately.

Looking like a typical high elevation baseball game. Lots of runs in the thinner air.

Moriarty has moved to 2B in place of Hill, with Stefanski going to LF. Not sure yet if Hill got hurt or what.

Not for nothing this Facebook Live feed from BYU is very well done.

Search @byubaseball on Facebook for baseball page and scroll down a bit, Good quality but miss Chris Jones call (not synched w/ WHUS - WHUS is ahead of video stream).

Anybody notice that wasn't Hill at second anymore?
Chris mentioned it on the broadcast. Unless he got hurt the only reason that I saw that may have been pulled was he didn't run hard out of the box last at bat. But that's only speculation.

He battled another pop up and went out in short center to make the catch. I wonder if Krueger may have been calling him off. It certainly would have been an easier catch for him.

And the freshmen continue to produce and play well. Moriarity with the good D now a clutch double to plate two.

Top of 4th, a Moriarty double drives in two runs, with UConn still up.

WHUS is reporting that Aaron Hill has a brace on his left wrist.
