UConn @ BYU -- 3/16 @ 8p ET, 3/17 @ 8p ET & 3/18 @ 3p ET

Gnesda saves at least one run from scoring with a nice play at first. 4-0 BYU. Yahn, Susi, Feldstein coming up.

I don't know who is in charge of the outfield alignment on the UCONN coaching staff but they are awful. The staff has the push side of field playing on the warning track so routine fly balls drop in all the time.

Just got home from Gampel and the basketball tournament. Husky bats have been pretty quiet. Wish I could say the same about the BYU offense. Anyway, Nepiarsky is doing ok with his mound stint.

Susi missed a homer by a foot or two. Susi knocks in Prato with a one out triple. 6-2 BYU

It also knocks the BYU starter from the game

Triple for Susi drives in another run to make it 6-2. BYU is making a pitching change. You're never really out of a game played at a high elevation, so we'll see what happens.

A Feldstein ground out scores Susi. Score is now 6-3 BYU, with the Cougars coming to bat in the bottom of the 6th.

Jacob Wallace is coming in to pitch the bottom of the 6th. I figure Nepiarsky will make a midweek start this week.

Wallace puts runners on base, then gets out of it on his own, picking up two strikeouts in the process.

Bottom of 7th, Rossomando comes in and pitches well, has his control today. One runner gets on base due to a Moriarty error, but is thrown out stealing.

Huskies load the bases, pick up two runs to make it 6-5 going to the bottom of the 8th. Aaron Hill pinch ran for Susi, so one of the best hitters for UConn is now out of the game. Do not like that pinch running decision. Ryan Radue in to pitch the bottom of the 8th.

Ryan Radue loads up the bases with the help of a Yahn error, then three runs score. BYU still up.
