Bryant got hit hard by graduation and it is showing, with their 10-18 record. They are starting to play better now, though, and will want revenge from last year. Take care of business!

Can't overlook Bryant. They are 7-1 over their last 8. Started off poorly against Arkansas, Liberty. New Mexico State and Maryland but seem to have righted the ship. Lets hope we get a sold mid-week start from Rossomando, Domnarski, Nepiarski or whoever gets the ball.

Offense lifeless vs. Bryant midweek pitching. My god...

We get picked off first, again, to end the top of the 2nd.

Nice at bat by Gnesda to get a well-earned single after a Feldstein walk. 2 on, 1 out.

Fielder's choice by Toppa. Two outs, runners at the corners. Huge at bat here for Winkel.

Winkel with the RBI single! 1-0 UConn. Moriarity follows that up with a 2 RBI double to make the score 3-0!

Winkel will be a huge X-factor when determining how far this team will go. He's had some inconsistencies to this point in the season but he's cleaned them up and come up big the last few weeks.

We lead 3-1 going to the 6th. Ronnie wasn't great, but has made pitches when needed and has gotten great defense behind him.

Offense has died again. 3-1 going to the bottom of the 6th. Domnarski coming in.

Domnarski coming out of the pen to start the 6th inning. Good outing for Rossomando, hitting his season high for pitch count.

One thing to look for out of Rossomando, and other talented pitchers who struggle with their control, is the ability to get themselves out of the trouble they create with little or no damage. Rossomando was able to escape a difficult fourth inning while allowing only one run, where in previous outings it may have driven him from the game. He needs to further develop this trait, like Montgomerie was able to do in the second half of last season.

Another Husky pitcher who seems to have this trait is Dan Rajkowski, who always seems to to be allowing runners on base and letting them advance in all sorts of manners. Still, it seems that he is often able to contain the damage, and it shows in his low ERA. His appearance against Memphis in the first game of that series is a good example of this, where he allowed four walks in two innings, yet no runs scored. Penders has certainly noticed this trait of his, as Rajkowski is among the leaders in pitching appearances for the team.

And Domnarski immediately walks the leadoff. Unbelievable. I have 0 interest in seeing him outside of extremely low leverage situations.

Without fail, they always walk the lead off man they face and it kills them.

Errors, coming unglued against teams we just have no business losing to.
