Hoping some people that drink can help me out here. I'm putting a raffle basket together for a fundraiser I'll be attending and want to include beers, seltzers and cocktails that have UConn branding on them and I am not a drinker. What is out there? I know I see them at games but I've only found a Waypoint iced tea and beers from Two-Roads and Urban Lodge. Are there more options?

Right now those are the only "officially licensed/approved" products available for purchase that I am aware of (Urban Lodge - UConn Territory, Two Roads - TwoConn). Kinsmen used to make HuskyHops but to my knowledge that partnership is no longer...

There also have been some Whisky/Bourbon you can hunt for:

I am involved in the UConn Brewing Innovation program that we've started at UConn, so I have some insider knowledge of these things.

One thing you could do if you have access to Urban Lodge Manchester/Hartford is that they may still have some 4-pack cans left of our student "Brew Crew" beers from the last two semesters: "Husky Berry Buzz", "Courtside Cooler" and "Jonathan's Peach Party"

...Stay tuned though because there are more some really cool things in the works that may be announced the fairly near future!

Gimme UConn beers.

I am involved as a faculty in the UBI program and am one of the faculty for the student Brew Crew teams. This UBI program is some of the most fun I've had as a UConn Professor. We have some great ideas for places we'd like to take it in the future.

I like my group's beer idea, we just brewed it this week with the great folks at Urban Lodge. Excited for this event!

First, a semi obligatory "Post/handle."

Very cool news. I'm interested in seeing what products will be coming out.

Looks like First Cut put out another bottle for the 2025 Women's Team's Championship. The men's bottle was aged 6 years and the women's 7 years. You can't fully read the back of the bottle, but it looks like the same blend and from Indiana, but a couple ticks less proof. Maybe it's the same barrel that sat another year?

-> Urban Lodge Brewery, which is opening in the fall of 2026, is also part of an academic initiative with UConn to provide experiential and academic learning opportunities for students to connect with the craft beer industry, according to university officials.<-

-> The idea to bring a brewery to downtown Storrs culminated from the wide interest from students in the UConn Brewing Innovation, a collaboration between the College of Engineering, the College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources and the School of Business. It was formed in 2023 to provide students with academic courses and experiences concerning the brewing industry such as the science of brewing. <-

-> “In talking with Barnes & Noble we mutually agreed it would be in the best interest of the university and Barnes & Noble for them not to operate the location as a bookstore and that we would institutionally have a better use for it in executing the brewing innovation and Urban Lodge partnership,” Muncy said. <-

You can already take cannabis classes at UConn, when will distillery sciences be offered?
