I don't think they have to. Think about the bowl math. A school has to buy an allotment of tickets and the team has to travel to the bowl location. For an AAC school, going to a bowl closer to home might make more financial sense even if it has a lower payout.Maybe UConn takes a lower payout to get in allowing the bowl to pay off the other league?
Smells of the northeast. Gross.
God’s countrySmells of the northeast. Gross.
Living in Godot's country right now...God’s country
You're looking at this all wrong CT.Part of it is me selfishly wanting to go somewhere warm to see the bowl game. Fenway and Pinstripe will bring so many bandwagon fans who will ask me stupid questions like “where’s Jaxon Mitchell” and “why don’t we play the Wisconsin kid he’s an 80 in NCAA. Football 24” or the best yet “Victor Rosa should be playing he’s the best RB on the roster.”
Go screw. Take your uninformed questions and go play on the train tracks.
Everybody wants a vacation but it's not sensible to turn up a Boston or NY in our situationSmells of the northeast. Gross.
I understand, still hurts. You're looking at this all wrong CT.
Nothing could be better for the program than a ton of bandwagon fans filling the seats in Fenway or Yankee Stadium.
If we drive up the price of aftermarket tickets at one of those venues and fill 20k+ seats other conferences will notice. So will the committees that run those two bowls.
Go to the bowl game at Yankee or Fenway then spend New Year's Eve in Vegas. Problem solved.I understand, still hurts.

The show started 15 minutes ago. Still waiting.when does the announcement come out?
@storrsroars, you’re the one Yarder that I figured would attend Pitt/UConn matchup. But sometimes life circumstances get in the way. Wishing your wife a quick recovery.Any other year, wife and I would be at pretty much any bowl game featuring UConn v Pitt that's not in Alabama. Unfortunately, she fractured her hip a few weeks ago at Acrisure leaving a Pitt game and won't be traveling anywhere until probably next spring![]()
What a snooze fest. The show is four hours. Hope we don’t have to wait that long. The show started 15 minutes ago. Still waiting.
This would be a great opportunity for UConn. I would be elated if this happens. Playing a P4 team in our backyard. Could care less about playing a non-brand in warm climate.
We actually discussed it this morning. She was interested in knowing if it was possible. Having been to Fenway a bunch of times, it's probably one of the worst venues out there for someone who'd be using a walker or wheelchair. I'm the one who nixed it.@storrsroars, you’re the one Yarder that I figured would attend Pitt/UConn matchup. But sometimes life circumstances get in the way. Wishing your wife a quick recovery.
Best wishes for your wife's recovery (and your sanity.)Any other year, wife and I would be at pretty much any bowl game featuring UConn v Pitt that's not in Alabama.
