Mike Dimauro?
The scribe we love to hate as been surprisingly quiet about UConn football lately, I wonder why ^_^. Meanwhile he wrote smack about our mens hoops:
Unless, of course, in the name of winning, UConn has sold its soul and shall permit its head men's basketball coach to openly swear at officials in a very personal way. It's one thing to curse about a bad call. It's another to get personal. Which Hurley does. And continues to.
...
We've witnessed miracles here during consecutive national championships. It's hard to imagine the UConn players showing more poise and grace over the last two years. Especially when their head coach has none. Zero.
Awww, is poor Mickey sore that his beloved thunderchickens can't any hardware in basketball??? At least Hurley isn't throwing chairs at people;)

No Boca

Well, Boca vs. UNC felt like a bit of a longshot.

However, 247Sports has now switched their prediction of UConn vs Arkansas St in the 68 Ventures Bowl to UConn vs Pitt in the Fenway Bowl. So there are now at least six different media outlets currently predicting us in the Fenway Bowl - (4 vs Pitt, 2 vs. VA Tech). I'd sign up for that in a heartbeat. To be considered for a P4 conference, it helps to be in the company of other P4 schools.

The only thing more overrated than a lucky blackjack player is the Boca Raton Bowl.
Part of it is me selfishly wanting to go somewhere warm to see the bowl game. Fenway and Pinstripe will bring so many bandwagon fans who will ask me stupid questions like “where’s Jaxon Mitchell” and “why don’t we play the Wisconsin kid he’s an 80 in NCAA. Football 24” or the best yet “Victor Rosa should be playing he’s the best RB on the roster.”

Go screw. Take your uninformed questions and go play on the train tracks.

Are you sure she was real? Did the other players see her?
She was real and her daughter was a fashion model - yes I have an eye for talent. No, she was not interested in a rather athletic looking CTBasketball.

Getting another big turnout in NYC in yet another sport would be terrible.

I don’t see the drive for Fenway. It is a lousy layout for the teams as both are on the same side. In addition the seating on temporary bleachers give less than a big time atmosphere

Hasn’t helped us before. These games don’t matter, it’s all about our personal happiness.

If ESPN wants us and UNI then it just may happen. Good for us as we're staying in Myrtle Beach that night on the way to the sister-in-law's home in the Outer Banks!
Don't forget to stop at Howard's Pup in Ocracoke

Fenway or Pinstripe would be huge because of the savings on travel costs. A bowl payout of $1million often times does not leave any profit for the schools once all the expenses surrounding playing in a bowl are accounted for.

And make a lot more money
Is it a given that UConn would see the whole official payout from Fenway?

It’s a ACC/AAC bowl. AAC has enough teams so they may not like having a team relegated to a lower payout.

I suspect part of ESPN juggling teams around involves money moving as well.

But the savings in travel alone would be a coup.

I work my 24 shift Friday and get off sat morning 12/28 flights out are like $100 might be able to make that work if we land at Fenway or pinstripe
