I’d rather the team have an opportunity to rise to a challenge. A G5 win won’t move the needle anyway. This is ridiculous. You’d rather lose to a P5 team than beat a G5?
I just don’t get it…

I hear you, but at the same time this team had to rise to the challenge just to beat Temple and UAB. In my opinion, this year a bowl win is what’s most important for us, it doesn’t matter much to me whether that’s over a P4 team or someone like North Texas. 9-4 with a bowl win over a random G5 school would go further than an 8-5 season with a “well we only lost to Rutgers by 8” bowl lossI’d rather the team have an opportunity to rise to a challenge. I'm more in the mindset where I hope they go somewhere warm or tropical. But I would love a win. Hopefully a 9-4 season that would be amazing. All the BYers that are asking for a P5 Bowl after we have beaten 0/4 this year is hilarious. I'd hate to ruin the season with a Bowl loss like 2022
We'll be at a point where we can win those games but we aren't there yet
Winning a Bowl game > a cool matchup
The extra practice time certainly helps the team too.I hear you, but at the same time this team had to rise to the challenge just to beat Temple and UAB. CBS pegs them for the Boca Bowl the WED before Christmas. That would work.I'm more in the mindset where I hope they go somewhere warm or tropical.
Won't mind. And I think we can beat Rutgers this year.CBS pegs them for the Boca Bowl the WED before Christmas. That would work.
It would be good for both programs. Rutgers is kind of an outlier in the Big10. Having a game against someone close would be beneficial.Playing Rutgers specifically would be good for the program
what if we lose by a huge margin?Playing Rutgers specifically would be good for the program
If you want to improve you have to play good competition. I am not looking for meaningless warm and fuzzies. Don't have a need for them. Playing the long game. This is ridiculous. You’d rather lose to a P5 team than beat a G5?

Good chance that we're staying home.77 eligible teams for 82 spots as of today.
Nope.Good chance that we're staying home.
because?Nope.
We will be in a bowl game.Good chance that we're staying home.
what if an eggplant eats chicago.what if we lose by a huge margin?
This topic came up two years ago and someone said that ESPN would create a bowl for a team like UConn if that happened. I would not worry just yet.Good chance that we're staying home.

What I would worry about is beating UMass. I think all the fans and possibly a lot of the players are overlooking them. 8-4 looks so so so much better than 7-5 when you are begging for a bowl, and especially for a good matchup.
Hogwash. A couple of years ago ESPN created a game for a team that qualified with no space.Good chance that we're staying home.
WORCESTER IS GETTING IN BOWL SEASON EVERYBODY!!!Hogwash. A couple of years ago ESPN created a game for a team that qualified with no space.
