Does this defense look a little like HCRE circa 2010?

Helps that the opposing QB is limited.

Yea when the elbow was down you could see the shadow of the ball over the line to gain. Definitely closer than the spot was, but would have been tough to overturn that call.

You can't use the shadow because the light is not directly above the ball. That light comes in at an angle. He may have still gotten it, but can't use the light to tell...

100% Agreed, was just using that as a reference that I think the spot should have been closer than a full yard.

They have been playing well but this just feels like the same UConn. Shows signs and then just can't do what needs to be done. Dropped TD pass missed FG ... how much can we expect out of this defense? We finally get better on D and the offense lays an egg last like 4 games. Offense has been terrible.... put aside driving down the the red zone anything in the redzone seems to go backwards. Doesnt matter how far you get down the field if you can't score.

Will we get a meaningful TD that's not in garbage time?

That was a really nice play by their QB, but our secondary really is bad. They have no idea what they are doing and never no where the ball is.

Progress not perfection. There is talent on the defense but there will be holes next year.

BC is bigger, faster, and more talented, without question. There is a reason why UConn is 21 point underdog. The UConn O line cannot compete. If you don't have an O line you cannot score. The QB is always under pressure. Reminds me of the Eli and the Giants this year.
