Testani coming up with a runner on 2nd in the 8th. I'm surprised Deroche-Duffin is not pinch hitting.

Aggressiveness cuts both ways... Way they are hitting ya gotta give it a shot, but damn - can't catch a break.

SS lets one go right through his legs but Daniello get thrown out at the plate. Testani at 2nd now with 2 outs.
Penders may need to relieve himself of 3rd base coaching duties. We get more guys thrown out.

Its a tough call. 1st and 3rd 1 out with Sundberg up. He's a tough guy to double up but does strike out a lot. He ends up getting hit by pitch and Siena flies out. My issue is that it appears Penders is a bad call of judgment. We get too many guys thrown out and often it isn't even close.

Nico Darras is on a pitching roll. Seven straight hitters retired. On to the bottom of the 9th.

Blake Davey singles, moves to 2nd on a wild pitch. Olmstead pinch runs. I don't like this move, as it takes a big bat out of the lineup. Sure enough, the Huskies strand the runner.

Davey gets to 2nd with 1 out. They pinch run for him so he is lost for the rest of the game.
McDowell then strikes out and Yahn grounds out.
Too many missed opportunities.

As good as we appear to be at fly ball outs to the outfield I would have loved a guy on third with one out.

Granted there is no guarantee (and I did not see the play so I don't know how close it was) but as he would have needed to hesitate on the ball hit in front of him (to the shortstop) there should be valid reason to question trying to score.

Error by Melley leads to Unearned run. They get the sac down, they steal 3rd and get the ground out for the run.

Hill is up, no doubt he will bunt. Deroche-Duffin to bat for Testani.

Sac bunt by Hill and Deroche-Duffin with the big hit to tie game.

And that's where taking out Davey hurts us. Garabedian has not been a good hitter at all in his limited time.

I agree completely. Penders gets pinch runner happy.

Most managers seem to be pinch run happy, it's not just Penders. About the only time I'm comfortable with it is when the home team is behind in the 9th inning.

Ruotolo gives us a strong 3. Hopefully we can end it here but if we can't I would not bring him out for another. Last time he went that long it really seemed to mess him up. I would go with Brown or Nepiarsky.

I expect Ruotolo is in for the long haul this game, and I have no problem with that.

Who knows anything about Memphis' roster? I'm curious as to who will run out of pitching first, us or them?

.-.
I know we have scored a lot during our mid week games against the likes of the UMass-Lowell and Fairfield's of the world, but our consistent inability in conference games against quality pitching to not be able to score runs is very concerning. For every good weekend scoring performance we have 2 bad ones. This has got to get better or we are going to blow a chance at the post season.

The wind surprisingly is gusting to right. I really believe this hurts our team.
