UConn and the 2026 NFL Draft

Was watching some of the defensive backs at the NFL combine on NFL network, saw Emmanuel McNeil-Warren the safety out of Toledo. He is the 15th ranked prospect by Daniel Jeremiah. He was recruited by, stayed, and played for Jason Candle for four years at Toledo, and now is a top prospect. Really excited to see Coach Candle develop some Huskies like he did with McNeil-Warren, and get them to stay for four years, like he did with McNeil-Warren, who had to have had many transfer opportunities.

Who are the biggest risers from Day 3?

Skyler Bell, WR, UConn

After Bell participated in only one practice at the Shrine Bowl, many were anticipating Bell's test numbers. At 6-foot, 192 pounds, he caught my eye throughout his workout. In running a 4.4-second 40-yard dash and leaping 41 inches in the vertical, Bell showed that he belongs in the Day 2 picture. He followed with an impressive showing during on-field drills. His routes were crisp, and he constantly showed how strong his hands were. The most impressive part of Bell's workout came during the gauntlet, as he ran through it with speed and caught the ball cleanly. -- Reid

Glad for both young men. Quality guys. I think Skyler will have a nice career in the NFL. He proved yesterday his productivity at UConn can translate to the NFL.

Now we need Candle to increase UConn’s presence in the NFL.
