UConn and the 2025 NFL Draft/Pro Day



-> Chase Lundt, UConn - The Huskies have been sending linemen to the league in recent years, as Matt Peart, Ryan Vandemark, Christian Haynes were in the NFL last season. Lundt, 6-7, 305, brings a lot of game experience, playing 49 games in four years, a Huskies mainstay through very bad times, as well as good. An injury sustained in the Fenway Bowl kept Lundt from fully participating at the Senior Bowl or Combine, but was able to work for scouts at UConn’s Pro Day in March. Various mock drafts have him going between 100 and 135 overall, a third- or fourth-round pick. <-

-> Others to watch - Among many state pro hopefuls are offensive linemen Valentin Senn and Chris Fortin, wide receiver TJ Sheffield, linebacker Tui Faumina-Brown, defensive back Rante Jones, all from UConn; quarterback Keith Ridley from SCSU; offensive lineman John Thomas, wide receiver Logan Tomlinson, DB Juan Rosario, New Haven, DL Dan Toatley, CCSU; DB Spencer Alston, WR Joey Felton, RB Tre Peterson, all from Yale. <-

AD coming out of Pitt = 6'0 - 285
JS coming out of UConn = 6'1 - 300

honestly if he honed his body, with his motor I could see him becoming a stud.
He'll fly under the radar so UDFA but raises tons of eyebrows during camp and pre-season. He could turn into something special.


On another note, way too many huskies with unrealistic hopes, have declared for the draft.
Is this common practice across FBS? just tonsssssss of declares? like how many of these declares actually make it to the pre-season? not even daring to ask how many make a 53-man roster.

-> In all liklihood, no one from Connecticut will get drafted in either the second or third rounds on Friday night. Chances are, the first possible one would be Chase Lundt on Saturday.

Lundt, an offensive tackle who played at UConn, is projected to go in either round 4 or 5 Saturday. The 6-foot-8, 305-pound Lundt helped the Huskies go 9-4 last season. <-
