Carl Adamec has a story out this morning about the two teams extending the series through 2021-2022. UConn still working on an extension with ND.

Also, UConn opens next season at home against Cal.

Maybe someone can link the story.

Cal Bears might be a tough game to open the Season with. The streak of not losing consecutive games, will be challenged. Cal has some size, but Geno's team should have the fire power to win the game. This is a Home Game.

UConn has gone 961 games without back-to-back losses dating back to the final two contests of the 1992-93 season. But that run will be on the line when the Huskies open the 2019-20 campaign following their loss to Notre Dame last month in the Final Four semifinals in Tampa, Florida.

Why do you think they have a chance to lose back to back

Isn’t Lindsay Gotlieb still the Cal coach? Not worried about losing...

Cal lost a lot to graduation and transfer... next year will likely be a rebuilding year.
Might catch lightening in a bottle, but it's highly unlikely they loss to Cal in the opener..

Cal lost Anigwe, Thomas and Caldwell to graduation, and Kianna Smith to transfer. I see them taking a tumble next year and missing the NCAA tournament. If UConn struggles to beat them, we are in trouble.

Hopefully, the series will continue beyond the next 2 years. I wouldn't mind neutral court games in NYC or Philly. Philly would probably make the most sense.

Still hoping for a MSST UConn series.
Do you have any insight as to why this hasn’t already happened? I would think that Geno would be eager to schedule it, both because it would be an attendance/ratings winner and because it would enhance UConn’s SOS,which is always desirable given the nature of the AAC. Is Vic the one who isn’t ready to say yes? If so, do you know why? Is AEH’s presence in the game an issue for either coach?

Yeah, this has been covered by multiple posters but it will be very surprising if Cal is good next season. Should be an easy win for UConn.
