I wondered, with KO coaching the under 19 USA players, if this was gonna happen. So glad that it IS! Thanks for posting Marat. Do we know who is gonna be there? Would love to see Kemba, Bazz & Ray!

They don't usually announce who will be there until a couple weeks before. Ray has always been there, and Kemba was there last time. Hopefully Bazz shows up this year.

The game in 2014 was the first time it was on a Friday. I honestly think that kept attendance down a little compared to all the previous years when it was on a Saturday.

I have 2 free tickets if anybody is interested. Plans changed and j can't make it. 1st person to private message me gets them.
We have a winner. Thanks everybody.

Important to note that this year's game will be co-ed with former women's players as well. In case that is or isn't your cup of tea.

Just in time to announce any important field court/logo uniform patch changes...

How many women will be showing up? Pretty much all of Team USA = former Huskies and they'll be in Rio.

When is the autograph session? I am taking my kids to the game and I know they would like to attend it.

"Among players expected are Ray Allen, Svetlana Abrosimova, Caroline Doty, Nykesha Sales, Richard Hamilton, Emeka Okafor and Ryan Boatright."

I don't plan to be at the "game" but I will be attending other related events that weekend. Hope to catch up then. It all goes to good causes.

Well then, why have it?

It's good for the casual fan - and it helps charity. All good. Personally, I like the golf tournament part. Great time to socialize and catch up - with a little fun competition. To each his own.

In the couple times I've gone, they usually have it after the game. Let everyone come down to the court area and players walk around and sign/take pictures. I've seen them sign before the game during warm ups too

This is a charity event with no current players - so not a problem at all. It's really not a basketball game or purported scrimmage - there is no defense played - and we will have to listen to the women fans brag about how just one or that one scored against whatever man was supposively guarding her.
Oh well, it's for charity - so it's all good!

Calhoun charity game brings former UConn stars from men’s, women’s teams together

I think chief's head might explode knowing Enoch was training with a woman.

Former UConn guard Rita Williams, who graduated in 1998 and played several seasons in the WNBA, is a distant cousin of current UConn rising sophomore Steve Enoch.

“My niece is his cousin,” Williams explained. “I’ve known Steve since before he was born.”

Williams recalls playing against Enoch when he was much younger at cookouts and other family functions in Norwalk.

“He wasn’t sure what he wanted to do, he just knew he was big,” she recalled. “I think he was just kind of trying to figure out what he was trying to do.”

A few weeks ago, Enoch went down to Atlanta to work out with Williams at the Elevate Sports Academy that she runs.

“He has tremendous upside,” Williams said of Enoch. “I think the issue with him was that he started late. It’s a good thing, because he doesn’t have bad knees. But it’s a bad thing because he has to play catch-up. But he has so much potential. You can just see in his footwork, his skill development. I think his upside is gonna be great.”
