Dunlop stays on the mound for the start of the bottom of the 7th.

Chris Jones said Ryan Hyde is out for the season with a hip injury.

Two walks and a single off of Dunlop, so the bases are loaded with no out in the 7th.

Ground out scores a run, makes it 7-4 with one out. Wild pitch makes it 7-5.

I have a feeling that Dunlop is good for one inning stints. We'll see how it goes as the season progresses.

Really don't want this game to turn into a boat race

Another walk. Just a really poor outing at the worst possible time. Bringing Wurster in.

Would really like to hold onto this one after watching the basketball team play tough for 35 minutes only to wilt away at the end. Gonna need big time stuff from Wurster.

.-.
Wurster coming in with runners at 1B and 2B with 1 out and a 7-5 UConn lead. I imagine he will be in for the rest of the game if things go well for UConn.

Finally escape - that was not Caleb’s fault at all. 7-7 going into the 8th.

Reviewing a play here.

Our infielders forcing Crawford to grab everything on the ground is a huge problem. I miss Prato’s defense very badly.

This play did not go to him, but my feeling is that Bushling is better off at 3B than at SS, where his throws often seem to be low or in the ground. I had that feeling last season as well. But if Brown grabs the 3B spot, then it might be a moot point.

Chris Winkel with a walk loads up the bases with two out. Devenney up.
