Jones said Wang was the opener- Peterson had the starter job until a bad outing in a scrimmage last week. They didn't want to stress him so they started with Wang who was going to get 1 time through the order.

Top 6th, Kyler Fedko with a two out single, his second hit of the game, so he is looking like he is out of his pretty brief strikeout funk. But that is it for the UConn offense that inning. 3-1 UVa.

Peterson did a nice job. Got a little tired at the end but has a nice slider and threw strikes. Def did himself well enough to earn some trust from penders today.

Pat Gallagher is considered a young pitcher with likely a good future for the Huskies. Get's a strikeout for the second out, a ground out for the third out. Nice, with no runs scoring. 3-1 going to the top of the 7th.

The way that maycock takes fastballs off his body is the way I take mosquito bites. I would be limping and taking my time to get to first. That kid barely flinches.
