Haha Morton almost got thrown out of the game . Wouldn’t be surprised to see Penders get tossed if situation appears. When you lose 8 of 9 need a jump start Frustration cityHey @MarkyMark can you relay a message of your choice to the home plate ump from the Husky faithful? It needs to include “sucks” amongst other words.
Good listen…
These are all good points. Tammaro and Morton are aggressive at the plate. Thats not a totally bad thing but they shouldnt be 1-2 in the order when they don’t work counts and don’t walk. I’ve advocated Daniels leading off for awhile let’s see. Id be ok with Tammaro hitting second. Morton has to be mid lineup. They’ll struggle against a lefty like yesterday. Worst I’ve seen Tammaro look at UConn. Better hitting teams will get to that UCSB lefty (better discipline and pitch recognition). They’ll make him throw strikes. They need a win, badly. Can’t hit with risp and the lack of good AB (k’s) is killing them offensively. Maybe Tammaro drops to 567 range along with Morton to try and generate some timely hitting. I like Padilla/Daniels hitting top 2 followed by Studley/Broadhurst. Less overall AB for Tammaro n Morton but I think it’s worth the risk…Simmons and Dalena struggling so much has really hurt em
Do they consider starting an Ellison or Quinn or Schild on a Sunday and let Coe/Cooke be the long relief, middle relief, setup men and even potentially closing, throughout the season? Idk, but they need a few wins this week. Still can salvage an at-large if needed, but these next 6 are important. At the least Quigley/van Emon seem solid. Can Cooke close primarily? It would open up a lot having Aftim available where their currently having issues trying to figure out what they have. A lot of questions to have when you really need these wins this early in a season.
Bottom 3rd, Gauchos load the bases with no outs. A no out error on Minick allows a run to score and keeps the bases loaded, 5-0 Gauchos. No more runs come in this inning as S. Quigley picks up 2 strikeouts.
Still, looking like another ugly game so far for the Huskies.
