UConn 2026 Outbound Portal Transfers (*No transfer speculation until announced/posted*)

Candle hates short players apparently.
I’m very comfortable that this staff knows what it’s doing. I’m not sure what our record will be next year because of the massive turnover, but I’m confident we will have talent and hope for what can be.

I do wish we kept some of the obvious guys, Edwards and Neider in particular. I hate losing local kids that are really good.
I am starting to think they dont know there is a roster limit based on the number of people they keep signing... haha

The one pinned @ the top of the forum with similar name (but noted List Only) is the one that is locked to replies.

the math is probably too complex for even the most powerful supercomputers, but when the dust settles it would be interesting to see the number of outbound transfers who went to a P4 school and see how many P4 players transferred in to UConn.

Would you settle for a dust is still settling number? As of this post we gained 14 P4 transfers and lost 10 UConn players to P4 schools. All I needed was some duct tape, a paper clip, a jello shot, and Excel.

I wish we kept more non-P4 players around for the sake of continuity and sentiment, not as much because they were irreplaceable.

That said, a good opening season and I’ll mostly forget about it anyways
It's hard to quantify the skills of the new players but they mostly had P4 offers or came from P4 schools. Would have been nice to keep Cam, Murawski and the other o-linemen, Nieder, Honig, Juice, Harper and a few others. I'm sure Mora went after the players that he thought would help him at CSU, like Candle did at Toledo.

Reymello had very solid year for us. He seem to have good hands and ran good routes. He was definitely one of our better transfer pickups during the last few years.
Damn, Reymello would be great to return to the WR room, he made big plays for us all year long. If the same regime was in place and he had an extra year he'd be the player most likely to get the plays called for Skyler - like in the 2nd half of the bowl game. It sounds like he's a goner, but I hope the staff makes an attempt to keep him.

I don't think we lost as much quality to CSU as I thought we would.

I am good with how things have panned out thus far.
Mora is bringing a lot good players from UConn to CSU. Colorado State was awful last year and the guys he's bringing on will be impactful. Has to be better than what he had in the room - plus they added a four star QB from Oklahoma State and a handful of other P4 guys. He's going to get a reputation for reviving dead programs.

WR room is stacked. Hope he stays, but realistically, he sees the writing on the wall.

Good for Omar. I'm sure linebacker Sirike Diabate played a huge role. There were rumors Candle tried keeping him. There will be no secrets on how they plan on using him that's for sure.

Are there any stats tracked to evaluate a long snapper?

Checked Rubio long snapper website, couldn't find anything. We'll go with the BizLaw eval.

Chris Sims said something on his pod recently that the only thing that really mattered with a long snapper was that they weren't afraid to get down the field and make a tackle. That and not screwing up the snap.

We snapped it 20 yards over our Punter’s head in each of the first two games. It quite possibly cost us the Syracuse game. And there were other instances during the season where only great gets by the Punter saved us. We’ve had seasons without a single bad snap from our LS. We can do better.

Would think that would be a stat category, "uncatchable snaps". I'll go back to my intial post, we're doing well if Long Snapper recruiting evokes a few posts on the Yard.
