Wow
SittingA bit surprising. I expected Nick to land some place where he was guaranteed to be the starter. It will be interesting to see what he ends up doing at Missouri.
Looking at his UConn career from what I found, in 12 games he completed 107 passes out of 195 attempts for a 55% completion rate, 1023 total passing yards, 243 total rushing yards on 243 carries, 9.6 yards/completion, 3.0 yards rushing/carry, 6 passing TDs, 5 INTs, and 3 rushing TDs.To do what?
Just don't paint it as "Help has arrived".It’s called taking a flyer. It’ll cost us a scholarship. If the kid is able to overcome his injuries and returned to the form, that made him a four-star, we will both profit from it. Worst case scenario is he gives it one more shot and it doesn’t work out. Admire him for trying.
Is that public information? If they paid him 6 figures they are crazy but obviously have deep pockets.
Nobody said that. Tiger8mush just noticed that Ragan commitment coincidentally happened when CoachJ said he wanted an experienced TE. Don't think he was painting anything except timing was cute. C'mon man, it's the Honeymoon phase of program building, recruiting. They are all going to be All Americans. Live it up. Reality will be here soon enough!!Just don't paint it as "Help has arrived".
… and chase a MBA while coming out of college w/ near zero debt? Worked the current system pretty well.Article above makes it pretty clear Evers is QB3 -- a depth piece.
Not a bad gig for him. Get some cash, enjoy life as an SEC football player, have no real responsibility. Sounds like a great way to spend your senior year to be honest.
Yessiree, right you are. Momma teased that in her post about Nick graduating from UConn.… and chase an MBA while coming out of college w/ near zero debt? Worked the current system pretty well.
I was hoping to see Terrence return to UConn. Oh well.
Agreed, the irreplaceable or really hard to replace(Cam, Murawski(?)) didn't go with MoraI don't think we lost as much quality to CSU as I thought we would.
I am good with how things have panned out thus far.
Yes he did, which is great, as long as you don’t aspire to play ball! He milked the system, but didn’t grow as a player.… and chase an MBA while coming out of college w/ near zero debt? Worked the current system pretty well.
I can’t comment on what you thought we would, but we seem to have lost everybody we would have wanted to keep that didnt’ get a P-4 offer. If there’s a surprise, it’s how many kids got P-4 offers.I don't think we lost as much quality to CSU as I thought we would.

I am sure are right. Nick did what was best for him which wasn't more playing time.Sitting

In today's college football world, when the head coach leaves, the roster generally implodes. And, the new coach wants to and has to bring in players that are familiar with him and his system. It's not ideal and I don't want it to happen every season.I can’t comment on what you thought we would, but we seem to have lost everybody we would have wanted to keep that didnt’ get a P-4 offer. My instinct is that we didn’t seem to care a lot about keeping the kids who didn’t get P-4 offers. I find that unfortunate, as there are plenty of kids going to CSU who were helping or had the potential to help us, and continuity is good for the fanbase, but it is what it is and Candle absolutely should get the room to do it his way. I just hope he’s not like PP who felt so strong about doing it his way that he ignored the fact that he took over a team that had won the Big East the year before.
Felt that way didn't it. Breaking down the current outbound list we findI can’t comment on what you thought we would, but we seem to have lost everybody we would have wanted to keep that didnt’ get a P-4 offer. If there’s a surprise, it’s how many kids got P-4 offers.

With the amount of talent Candle brought into the WR room, this is no surprise. He was going to be in a battle for snaps and the way things are looking now it would most likely be a limited number of snaps at best.I was hoping to see Terrence return to UConn. Oh well.
