Diomande I saw somewhere has ties to UNC right now. Should probably look at Pryce Yates for reference

Does Yates have an eligibility left? Also have no clue how eligibility even works because sometimes it seems like if a player doesn’t play much one year, it doesn’t count?

I hate losing Neider but it's absolutely awesome that a local kid, who IIRC wasn't even originally on scholarship, gets a chance to go play for a Big XII school. He made some great plays this year, happy people outside of CT recognized his talent level. Dude can ball.

Best of luck to John, will miss typing "Neider!" into the game chat whenever he made a big play lol

Kinda crazy that Candle can’t get any of these kids to reverse course. Not a knock on him because there could be a number of things at play. He may also have not seen some fit but I’m not sure how that could be. I don’t see us retaining any of our “name” players and that’s a shame.

What's odd about going to WVU is how much WR talent they are bringing in from Juco and the portal.

Thinking the UConn kids heading to Colorado going to get PT. Some who are climbing the ladder will have some regrets. A lot of moves to P4 schools amongst our Husky defectors

Didn't wish him ill, just said I wished he'd have stayed. I'd say that is the ultimate compliment. Not really concerned how it goes for him from here. Got enough bandwidth for those Huskies, not alot left over for Portal Transfers from Storrs.

I can’t make up my mind

After a whirlwind 48 hours of soul-searching, FaceTime calls with Coach, and staring intensely at a rainy windowpane, I have an update on my journey.

First, I want to thank the University again for the love. To the fans who sent me death threats when I left, then sent me Venmo requests for drinks when I came back, and are currently typing "Good riddance" in my mentions—you are the heartbeat of this program.

The Timeline of Gratefulness​

  • Monday: I entered the portal to "explore all options" and "do what’s best for my family."
  • Tuesday: I realized the grass isn’t always greener, it’s just differently fertilized. I announced I was 1000% Committed to staying home. Unfinished business. Let’s work.
  • Today: After further prayer, meditation, and realizing the NIL collective at the school down the road just bought a new printer and some "unspecified incentives," I have decided to re-enter the Transfer Portal.

The "Respect My Decision" Checklist​

As I embark on this second (well, technically third) once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, please remember:

  • God’s Plan: He apparently moves faster than my 40-yard dash, and He wants me to have a diversified portfolio.
  • It's Not About the Money: It’s about the valuation of my personal brand and the lifestyle upgrades necessary to maintain my focus on the classroom.
  • Recruitment Open: My DMs are open, but please note that "Interests" should be accompanied by a PDF of your collective’s most recent bank statement.
